LA DODGERS OUTCLASS LLANEROS!
October 10, 2004

Los LLANEROS are beginning to become the Buffalo Bills of the A & C Baseball League. They have reached the title game four times and lost each time. On the other end of the spectrum are the LA DODGERS who have reached the championship twice and have been successful twice. Sunday, the LA DODGERS trounced los LLANEROS 15-4 to capture the Summer '04 crown.

Having already scored once, the LA DODGERS quickly took a 3-0 lead in the first inning when FRANK CAMARGO tripled in two runs off of LLANERO starter JUAQUIN GONZALEZ. GONZALEZ came off of a complete game victory over the WARRIORS but did not last four innings against the LA DODGERS. After the fourth inning the LA DODGERS were completely in control with 10-1 lead.

RONNIE RUBIO went the distance for the LA DODGERS. He stranded runners on second and third in the first inning and never was in trouble the rest of the game. Los LLANEROS appeared deflated early in the game when they fell behind. Unfortunately for them their lack of success in the finale played against their psyche when they fell behind.

The LA DODGERS will begin defense of their title in two weeks when the winter season begins October 24th.

JEREZ & BANDITS TAKE THE TITLES!
October 4, 2004

JEREZ came out swinging and easily dispatched of the INDIANS 17-9 to capture back to back championships in different divisions. JOEL RODRIGUEZ pitched seven dominating innings primarily relying on his fastball and change up. Offensively JEREZ was hitting the ball hard off of INDIANS starter ALPHONSO RUBALCAVA and knocked him out in the bottom of the third inning. After three innings JEREZ held a commanding 10-1 lead. JEREZ cruised the rest of the way and now will attempt for three straight first place finishes in three different divisions.

It was the same ol' story for the BANDITS and BRONX BOMBERS yesterday. The BANDITS had excellent pitching and tacked on runs periodically to take their first championship 13-6. VICTOR HERRERA threw seven innings in the victory for the BANDITS. Although there was some talk that the BANDITS would attempt a jump to the A Division, head coach JUVEE MILLAN has stated that his team will first move up to the B Division. The BANDITS have at least three very good pitchers causing the buzz.
