CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY - March 22, 2009
Despite the early morning rain, Championship Sunday turned out to be a cool sunny day.
Los PISTOLEROS took the first championship outlasting the INDIANS 14-11. Trailing 10-6 in the 6th inning, los PISTOLEROS rallied for 8 runs over the next three innings to take a 14-10 lead. The INDIANS tried to rally in the 9th, but left the bases loaded leaving the tying run at 1st.
The DIRTBAGS overcame a 6 run top of the 1st by the BANDITS to defend their A Division championship for the third straight season! They toppled the BANDITS 11-10.
EL SAUZ won the B Division championship again by defeating the DODGERS 7-6.
