A & C Baseball League: Welcome

Maybe to the surprise of some, the umpires of the ANCBASEBALL League do attend training camps and classes, whether it be for high school or for instance the Major League Baseball Camp for Umpires held November 7th at Compton Community College.
The best part of the class was listening to soon to be Hall of Fame Umpire, Bruce Froemming's speech on game management. He basically told us not take crap from anyone! Froemming was a great character. He is pictured in the center with a black shirt (shorter white guy). To Froemming's right is Steve Ripley, who worked the plate of game 7 of the 2001 World Series. That was the classic where Luis Gonzalez's walk-off single against the Mariano Rivera and the Yankees.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8 PLAYOFF GAMES
A Division
Both the REDS and CHAPALA swept double-headers today to advance to next weekends championship game. The REDS blasted the WARRIORS 11-1 and 20-3, of special interest in these games was that REDS started the same pitcher in both games!
CHAPALA took care of Arroyo Seco in game 2, 12-2. In game 3, CHAPALA used a huge 8th inning for a 15-6 win. Trailing 6-4, CHAPALA scored 11 runs in the 8th.
The REDS and CHAPALA did not face each other in regular season......
B Division
JEREZ defeated the top seeded INDIANS in three games. They will be facing the LA DODGERS who beat LOS ASESINOS 12-6.
C Division
LOS REYES and the RED DEVILS will be squaring off in the championship.
