What is Zumba?
It's Simple....It's Fun... AND IT WORKS!!!

It's the type of exercise you'll actually WANT to do....everyday!

It's easy & fun... It doesn't matter your age, fitness level and you don't even have to know how to dance! Even if you hate exercise, you're going to LOVE this.

It's effective... It is an aerobic workout, which we all know works. But it's more fun, which make you stick with the program until you get results.

About Zumba
Zumba is a dance fitness class that combines high energy & motivating music with unique moves. It is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO" allowing Zumba participants to stick to a workout program and achieve long-term health benefits.

ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music and dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.

HISTORY
Celebrity fitness trainer, "Beto" Perez, stumbled upon the concept of Latin inspired fitness in his native country of Colombia (South America) in the mid 1990's. One day, he walked into his class and realized that he had forgotten his aerobics music, and his only option was to grab whatever tapes he had in his car. Beto’s tapes were comprised of the songs that he loved, the traditional Latin salsa and merengue music with which he had been raised. But it was a challenge to improvise a whole class on the spot using non-traditional aerobics music. Beto rose to the challenge and from this last-minute improvisation was born a revolutionary fitness program – Zumba!
