New Concussion Law
New Concussion Law
There are new concussion laws that went into effect September 1, 2011 that apply to youth sports. A link below will direct you to the more information regarding the new law. The new law requires:
Coaches remove athletes under 18 from sports events if they have symptoms of concussion
A health care provider would need to give them permission before they could suit up again
Mandates that coaches undergo periodic training about concussions
That parents have easy access to information regarding the risk

Free online course available to coaches and parents. Coaches are now required to have online training at least once every three years. A certificate can be printed to demonstrate that you have completed the course.

2012 Zimmerman Youth Baseball Board Position Openings.
We currently have the following open board positions.
Vice President, Secretary, Registration, Treasurer, Sponsorship Coordination
If you are interested in learning more about joining the Zimmerman Youth Baseball Board, please attend our next board meeting. Board meeting times and dates are posted on our main page of our website. Typically board meetings are the first Sunday of each month at Livonia Township Hall from 6pm to 9pm.
