Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade AYBT teams for a phenomenal weekend on June 20th & 21st. The 7th graders went 6-0 as the 8th graders were 5-0. Great Job Ladies!

The Ypsilanti Sting Girls Basketball Club has selected openings for the 2009 5th and 6th Grade teams. For more information or to arrange a tryout please contact Rod Wells at  dewrod99@comcast.net

Ypsilanti Sting Basketball!  7/13/08 

The Ypsilanti Sting Girls Basketball Club is entering it's third year as an AAU organization based in Washtenaw County. We will have teams from 5th through 9th grade for the 2008-09 season. Tryout dates for the new season have not been finalized, but will most likely take place at the end of August or begining of September 2008. 

Our desire is for committed players who love playing basketball and want to improve their game in order to compete against the best in Michigan. The Club was established by Lonjyno Bond, who played basketball for the University of Michigan (1974-75) and successfully coached many boys and girls teams from 4th grade to High School.  Coach Bond believes in teaching fundamental skills and team play while at the same time having fun. The Club is also committed to teaching life lessons. Our players are required to sign a Code of Conduct which emphasizes sportsmanship, behavior and education.   Our teams will play during the fall and spring in a combination of weekend friendship games and tournaments through out Michigan, including the AAU District Qualifying Tournament.   If you are interested in our organization please contact us so we can place you on our email distribution list and you will receive current information.
