     WELCOME TO YPSILANTI NATIONAL LITTLE LEAGUE!!!

We offer baseball and softball for all girls and boys, living within league boundaries, ages 4 - 18.

REMINDER: We are NOT affiliated with the Ypsilanti Township Recreation Department. They will not have any information regarding our league, nor can they solve any issues you may have.

We Need YOUR Help!!

***VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS***

ALL parents are requested and expected to volunteer in the concession stand during your team's scheduled times.

Please remember YNLL is a non-profit organization that operates only by volunteers.

We MUST have participation from everyone in order to run a well-rounded program. If we don't have volunteers then our children cannot participate. We are asking that you please do whatever you possibly can to volunteer for this season. We need coaches, umpires and many other positions filled. If you are interested in any positions, want to make the league better or have ideas to improve the league, please contact a Board Member or sign up at registration.

Any volunteering is welcomed and greatly appreciated!!

These will be nights of family, fun and baseball at the YNLL fields for our entire league. 

Details are in the works for baseball, movies, family time, popcorn, etc on these nights. Stay tuned!!!

***FUNDRAISERS!!!!***
YNLL uses all funds raised during our fundraisers to pay for much needed equipment, field maintenance, umpires, supplies and utilities. We appreciate everyone's support in making these fundraisers successful. we have a few different events scheduled so far this year, with more to follow.

 CANDY SALES:

Each child is required to sell one box of candy. If they choose to, they may opt out of this by paying a $30 fee to fulfill that obligation. It is important that all candy money be turned in no later than April 1st, 2013. You can turn this money in to your Coach or to the Fundraising Coordinator, Brenda Freeman. If you need additional boxes of candy, please contact YNLL.

These are the incentives for the candy sales this season:

  • The top seller from the entire league will receive $100!!!
  • The top seller from each division will receive a YNLL T-shirt and $10 in concession stand bucks!
  • Any player that sells two or more boxes of candy will be entered into a drawing for a 4-pack of tickets to a Friday night Detroit Tiger's game!!!
BOTTLE DRIVE:
We will be holding our annual bottle/can drive competition. This will be a fun competition between teams in each division. There will be a pizza party awarded to the winning team that collects the most bottles/cans from each division. More information will be coming regarding the specific dates and times for each team to bring their bottles/cans in.
(Bottles/Cans that are crushed or do not have the bar code intact will not be counted.)

***INCLEMENT WEATHER***

GAMES MAY NOT BE CALLED UNTIL AFTER 5:00 P.M. COACHES WILL BE NOTIFIED AS SOON AS A DECISION IS MADE

COACHES - WHEN INCLEMENT WEATHER IS FORECASTED PLEASE TRY TO BE AT THE FIELD BY 5:30 P.M. TO HELP GET FIELDS PREPPED AND READY TO PLAY, THE FIELDS MAY NEED EXTRA TLC.

 ATTENTION ALL FANS AND FAMILY!!!

Please be courteous to all fans at the fields.   We ask that you park correctly.  Taking up more than one space is not acceptable since we have limited parking.   Be considerate of our handicapped fans - There have been two Handicap parking spaces added to the YNLL fields. One of these spaces near Anderson Field and the other near Arrwood Field. Parking in these spaces is only allowed by those vehicles with a Handicap hang tag (must be visible) and/or a Handicap license plate. Ypsilanti Township will be stopping by often to enforce this. If anyone is parked in these handicap locations without proper permit, they will be ticketed and possibly towed. This will be enforced by our YNLL Board Members and Ypsilanti Township Park Rangers. Please continue to be aware of where you are parking as there will be additional "Handicap parking", "NO Parking" and "Parking at Your Own Risk" signs posted in the near future. We have also gotten complaints from the Apartments & the house next to Anderson Field for parking on their lawns - this is no longer allowed. Everyone must park their vehicles in Harris Park. Thank you to everyone in advance for your cooperation and understanding in this matter.

CALLING ALL OLD BANNERS!!!

 If anyone has any banners that were won for YNLL, please call or email the league ASAP. We would love to hang these banners around the fields to show pride in what our league has accomplished over the many years and recognize the teams that have won them.

 ATTENTION ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS/PLAYERS: Important rule change regarding bats

 (Please note that these are new regulations put in effect by Little League International. These are not rules/regulations put in place by, but only enforced by, Ypsilanti National Little League and we thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation of these rules/regulations.)

Wooden and aluminum metal/alloy bats are not subject to the moratorium. Bats that have only a metal or alloy barrel (and no other material, unless it is in the end cap of the bat), and if it meets the other standards (length, diameter, etc. for the respective division in which it is used) are not subject to the moratorium, regardless of the composition of the handle or the transition to the barrel.
