Energize Indiana Fundraising Program

The Yorktown Wrestling program was presented with an unique fundraising opportunity that is a win-win-win for everyone involved and it doesn’t cost you a penny.  The providers of energy for Indiana have been required to reduce their output by the year 2016.  As part of that effort, they have partnered with Energize Indiana to perform Home Energy Assessments to help homeowners identify ways that they can reduce their energy consumptions.  This audit is absolutely FREE!  It will only take about 45 minutes to perform and you can receive free gifts to help make your home more efficient.  Below is a description of what the HEA is and they type of gifts you can receive. Now you may ask how does this benefit Yorktown Wrestling, for each of you who completes the Home Energy Assessment, Yorktown Wrestling will receive $25.  Your receive gifts and ideas of how to make your home more energy efficient, the electric companies reduce their output and has a positive environmental impact, and Yorktown Wrestling receives a donation. This program is limited to Indiana residents who have electric service provided by IMPA, Duke Energy, AEP, NIPSCO, Vectren, or IPL.

What do you need to do:

  1.  Email YorktownWrestlingClub@yahoo.com with the following information:
    • Name as it appears on your electric utility bill
    •  Address
    • Contact phone number where Energize Indiana can call you to schedule the assessment.
    • Email Address
    • Name of your electric provider
  2.  When Energize Indiana calls you, you set up an appointment to complete the Home Energy Assessment

I hope you will choose to participate.  Feel free to pass on to family & friends.

What is included in your Home Energy Assessment? Energy Advisors will guide you step by step through the process to produce long-term, cost-effective energy savings by analyzing your energy use, recommending appropriate efficiency measures and by installing several low-cost energy-saving measures. Advisors will also assess the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems in your home to determine if they are operating efficiently. We also may inspect your home’s air duct sealing, insulation levels and more to evaluate your home’s energy consumption and heating and cooling efficiency.

The Home Every Assessments may include energy saving measures such as:

  • Replacing traditional incandescent bulbs with efficient CFLs (limit 9)
  • Install low-flow faucet aerators (limit 3)
  • Install low-flow shower heads (limit 2)
  • Water heater insulation wrap (on electric heaters  only)
  • Once your home’s energy assessment is complete, you will receive a comprehensive report detailing what can be done to start saving energy and make your home more comfortable. Many times a Residential Home Energy Assessment reveals that only simple and relatively low-cost improvements are necessary to achieve significant energy savings.
