York County Pop Warner
2011 Season Information
York County Pop Warner will be competing in several new divisions this year and will now be able to serve participants from 5 years old to 15 years old, with no weight limits for boys 12 and older.
We continue to look for people from York, Rock Hill and surrounding towns interested in starting a Pop Warner Association in their hometown.

Children do not try out in Pop Warner Football, all children who register are placed on teams by age and weight. The only limiting factor is if there is space on a team. Cheerleading team assignments are based on age. Requests for placement on a specific team will never be honored if the participant does not meet age/ weight requirements for that level. All Children experience the most success if they are at the upper age for a Division. There are boundaries set for all Leagues and Associations within a League. No child that lives within a League or Association Boundary may play for a Pop Warner program outside of the boundary they reside in. Specific “grandfather” rules do apply for those who played with a Pop Warner Association, prior to one being available in thier area. All children within York County, SC must play for a YCPW team. Within York County, there are no specific boundaries. (passed 2011)
