The Yardley Morrisville American Legion Riversharks are excited to congratulate Ben Decembrino on his commitment to play baseball for the Washington and Lee University Generals in Lexington VA!  Recruited by Coach Jeff Stickley, Ben chose W&L over several other schools based on its excellent academic reputation.  The Generals compete in the very competitive Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).  A 2015 Holy Gost grad, Ben has been a member of the YM program since 2010, where he has played a key role as a solid middle infielder. As a 15 year old in 2012, Ben double rostered on the Jr and Sr teams, starting on both teams at second base.  Ben was a key member of the 2012 Jr team that won the Boyertwon Regionals, earning a berth in the state tournament.  Ben has been a fixture in the middle of the Rivershark infield as a 4-year starter.  The Riversharks shortstop was selected to the All Star game in 2014 and 2015.  A two year varsity letter winner at Holy Ghost, Ben played a key role in leading the Firebirds to the 2015 District 1 AAA Championship.  Ben hit .355 his Sr year while earning all conference recognition.  While Coach Stickley retired in May, Ben is excited to play for incoming coach Lucas Jones.  With the Generals graduating both middle infielders, Ben will compete for playing time as a first year.  Good luck to Ben at Washington and Lee University!
