PA Amercian Legion Moves to Wood Bats in 2013
Pennsylvania American Legion Baseball has decided that all divisions will use wood bats in 2013. This includes Senior (age 16-19), Junior (age 14/15), and Prep (age 13). Stayed tuned for more information on bat specifications. Keep in mind, this decision does not impact school baseball as PIAA still allows BBCOR approved bats. Thursday, August 2

Yardley-Morrisville Takes Two From Lower Macungie to Earn a Trip to the State Tourny
YM is going to the PA State Tournament after winning the Boyertown Regional Tournament by stunning Lower Macungie with two come from behind wins. After falling to Lower Mac in the winners bracket final on Monday, the "Sharks" got revenge today with a DH sweep earning a spot in the state tourny. State play begins on Saturday in Shillington. YM will open at 1:00 against the Kutztown Regional winner, Spring City. Stay tuned for updates. Tuesday, July 31
Yardley-Morrisville "Sharks" Stun Central to Advance
YM used their "shark" rally caps to stun Central with a come-from-behind 7-6 victory to earn a rematch with Lower Macungie for the Regional title. Timely hitting led by Andrew Gilbert in the bottom of the seventh inning tied the game at 6. After YM loaded the bases in the bottom of the 8th, it was Andrew Gilbert at the plate once again. With a full count, Gilbert drew a walk to knock in the winning run. YM enjoyed an outstanding combined pitching effort from starter Cameron Jones and reliever Sam Paglione, who has pitched 9 scoreless innings in relief over the past 2 days. YM (3-1) takes the field at 11:00 for a rematch with Lower Macungie. A win pits both teams again in the Championship game at 2:00. The Sharks will be out again! Tuesday, July 31
Lower Macungie Hands YM First Defeat
After jumping out to an early 3 run lead, YM surrendered 4 runs resulting from shaky defense in the top of the second inning. Lower Macungie tacked on 1 more run in the third inning to hand YM its first loss. Cameron Jones takes the hill today as YM meets the York County League champs, Central, in a 1:00 match-up. Winner moves on to Championship play on Wednesday...loser goes home. Sunday, July 29
YM Takes Down Berwick to Remain in the Winner's Bracket
Andrew Gilbert pitched 7 strong innings with Sam Paglione knocking in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to give YM a 3-2 victory over Berwick in a winner's bracket game. Paglione had another RBI on a suicide squeeze earlier in the game to put YM ahead 2-1. Ben Decembrino knocked in the first YM run to tie the game at 1 in the fourth inning. The Yardley boys with Jack Seibert on the bump meet Lower Macungie in another winner's bracket contest at 4:00 on Monday. Sunday, July 29

Yardley-Morrisville Qualifies for Jr Legion Regionals
With a two game sweep of Horsham in the best of three series, YM qualifies for the Jr Legion Regional Tournament in Boyertown. YM opens the tournament against the host team, Boyertown Grizzlies, on Saturday July 28th.
