SUMMER BALL for Wylie minor league ages 9 and 10 will be the last two weeks of July (players that were league age 8 that will turn 9 on or before 8/1/09 will also be included). Games are played every night of the week, there are no practices and players must be rotated to different positions each inning. Players will be placed on teams in order of the arrival of their registration forms.
Summer Ball registration forms are posted in the handout section to the left ....complete and send along with check no later than 7/3/09 to: Kevin Hanna, 350 Nora Miller Road, Abilene 79602...you can contact Kevin at 665-0668. Checks should be made payable to Wylie Little League. Also, parents must mark the dates at the bottom of the registration form for days they their child will be unavailable.

Managers and coaches......a reminder that after each game you have duties (rake field, empty trash and replace liners, pick up trash, etc).....if we all help, it goes quickly. Remember, after one warning, it is possible that your team will be required to forefeit a game if your post game duties are not completed. Also, its a good idea to have one of your team parents in charge of reminding those fans in the stands to clean their area of trash after a game.
Coaches - pls remember that it is important to teach your players the proper batting, throwing and fielding techniques, especially as they are younger. Teaching them correctly now will help them and Wylie baseball excel in future years. There are many free instructional sites on the internet.
Thanks to our Wylie Little League President, Keith Dodderer and his board for doing a great job of coordinating our League thus far! Also, thanks to those volunteers that have helped prep our fields.
