WYLIE LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL

FALL BALL 2009 is here! Pls see handout section to the left for registrations forms.  Fall ball is for all players league age 10 and 11 who will turn 10 prior to August 1, 2009.  Start date is to be determined, but looks like September 19th. Dixie and Key City will also have teams. Games are played every Saturday for 2 months, there are no practices, is continuous batting order and players must be rotated to various positions.  Pls have your registration form submitted by Sept 12.

A big THANKS to Les Robbins for volunteering to be our Fall Ball Manager.   Registration forms can be faxed to Les at 691-1628 or mailed to L.W. Robbins, 6 Contour Dr, Abilene 79606.  Also, you can drop off the forms at Citizens Bank during regular banking hours....corner of Industrial and Treadaway.  Cell number for Les is 370-1410, work is 695-3000.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!   Please help keep the facility clean by throwing you trash away.....

Managers and coaches......a reminder that after each game you have duties (rake field, empty trash and replace liners, pick up trash, etc).....if we all help, it goes quickly.  Remember, after one warning, it is possible that your team will be required to forefeit a game if your post game duties are not completed.    Also, its a good idea to have one of your team parents in charge of reminding those fans in the stands to clean their area of trash after a game.

Coaches - pls remember that it is important to teach your players the proper batting, throwing and fielding techniques, especially as they are younger.  Teaching them correctly now will help them and Wylie baseball excel in future years.  There are many free instructional sites on the internet.

Thanks to our Wylie Little League President, Keith Dodderer and his board for doing a great job of coordinating our League thus far!   Also, thanks to those volunteers that have helped prep our fields.

Want game Pictures? Have you noticed the gentlemen with the camera on the field during games? That is Tim Nelson and you view and order pics from his picture gallery at www.wyliesports.com
