Falcons Get To Semis in Winners Bracket; Finish Tied for 5th at 4A State
It was a great ride for this team filled with so much talent, energy and enthusiasm. The Lady Falcons avenged their State loss last year to Camas on Friday with 6-3 win in the first round against them and pulled of a thrilling come back against Todd Beamer to find themselves going into Saturday and the Semis pitted against Puyallup. Our girls fought hard but couldn't get the timely hits and fell to Puyallup who went on to win the State title. In the end our girls finished tied for 5th place chalking up more memories and experience and continuing the Woodinville legacy of expected excellence.

Lady Falcons at the Mariners Game vs Houston
A big shout out Thanks goes to coach Dale as he got tickets for our Lady Falcons to the Mariners game against Houston last night.
The girls had a great time watching the M's put it to Houston 6-1 behind King Felix and of course eating about everything in the park. Can you say "Helmet Nachos" anyone?! Yes... it is literally 4 pounds of Nachos in an M's helmet!
Getting rev'd up to head to Spokane next weekend for 4A State!

KingCo Tournament: Redmond Fends Off Late Rally By Woodinville to Take Title 7-4
Lots of hype prefaced this game as the top two teams and KingCo faced off for the Title and #1 seed out of KingCo for 4A State next weekend in Spokane. Redmond jumped out early with a 2-0 lead and held that into the 6th inning when we got things going with a hard line drive single by Kathryn Hatlen and then a 2 run home run by Tori Lettus to tie things up 2-2. However, in the bottom of the 6th Redmond put up 5 runs to put our Lady Falcons in a pretty deep hole going into the 7th. Though we still had some fight and were able to get two back before Redmond got three outs and in the end we came up short 7-4.
Great KingCo season for these girls who now have a lot of momentum and experience going into State next weekend in Spokane.

KingCo Tournament: Lady Falcons Secure Berth to State with 11-1 Run Rule Win Over Newport
Our Lady Falcons were ready to roll once again with a berth to 4A State on the line vs Newport last night in the semi-finals of the KingCo Tournament. Once again we had Olivia Riener on the mound packing more heat and more confidence in herself and her teammates to get it done.
Though Newport was laser focused on the same goal and put up a quick run on a home-run in the 2nd inning to lead 1-0. What they didn't know is that would be the first of only two hits on the night due to some great pitching & defense by Woodinville as they unleashed a torrent of offense at them starting in the 3rd inning.
Starting off with back to back walks by Lauryn Rhinehart and Nicole Shavlik, junior Alena Jones came up and put down a perfect bunt base hit to load the bases for Alyssa O'Farrell who smashed a 2 RBI line drive to right center to put the Lady Falcons up 2-1. Kathryn Hatlen then walked and Olivia helped herself by drilling a 2RBI to right to increase the lead to 4-1. Senior Maggie Loyet kept the roll on with an RBI single up the middle followed by an RBI by Jordan Boyd and when the inning was finally over for Newport the Lady Falcons were up 6-1. Newport just had the wind knocked out of them. And in a game totally driven by momentum our girls were riding it high knowing they had Newport on the ropes and a 4th 4A State berth awaiting a knockout blow.
They wasted no time on defense by flying all over the diamond fielding a bunt attempt at third by Lauryn, diving for a fly ball by Alena and snapping off a strikeout by Olivia. Back in with bats in our hands and more punishment in the 4th when Nicole leads off with a walk and a stolen base and Alena ropes a ball to short and forces an errant throw to score Nicole. Oilvia gets her third RBI of the night with a single to right scoring Alena. Tori Lettus wanted in on the offense as well so she smashed an RBI double to left followed by Maggie's second RBI of the night with a single up the middle. When the whirlwind of green and blue circling the bases was over it was 10-1 and our Lady Falcons were smelling another mercy run-rule.
With plenty of experience in the dugout of State championships (2005 & 2012) with teammates, ex-teammates and coaches, they understood how important it is to put the game away when you have the chance. Especially in a semi-final KingCo tournament game with a berth to State and a 5th in-a-row KingCo Title shot on the line.
So for the third time in the game we started the 5th inning with our leadoff Nicole getting on base with a walk and then a perfect sacrifice bunt by Alena followed by a hit by Alyssa up comes Kathryn. In a statement, Kathryn hit one of the hardest balls even seen hit at Inglemoor to score Alena and end the game with a 10-run mercy win.
Not to be overlooked was again the fantastic performance of the Freshman duo of Olivia on the mound and Jordan behind the dish simply locking it down all night.
Now... with a 4A State berth secured, ... with the Woodinville High School Fastpitch tradition of expected excellence carrying and defining them, ... led by a few who have been taught, lived, succeeded and whom understand the path to goal now surrounded by an amazingly talented young group of players, these 2014 Lady Falcons focus on a KingCo Championship for the 5th year in a row, 8 in the past 9 years, on Thursday vs Redmond, ... then on to State ... finishing their chapter...finishing it their way.
Game time 7pm at Inglemoor...come out and cheer them on!

KingCo Tournament: Redemptive 12-1 Mercy Win Over Issaquah for our Lady Falcons
Out at Inglemoor High School for the first round of the KingCo Tournament vs Issaquah. Our Lady Falcons were set to redeem their league loss and focus on the ultimate prize ahead... a berth to State for the fourth year in a row.
Issaquah out of the gate weren't going to go easily as they had plenty of enthusiasm and confidence as they put up a quick run on a couple of nice hits.
Though in the bottom of the second we got things going with a leadoff single by Tori Lettus to right field, a walk by Jordan Boyd and then a laser line drive RBI single by Lauryn Rhinehart to tie things up.
Olivia Riener on the mound went right at the batters and good pitching and defense kept runs off the board for Issaquah as we added another run with Olivia doubling to left center and Tori driving her in with her second of three hits on the night. Jordan and Lauryn had back to back walks and Nicole Shavlik cleared the bases with a 3 RBI double to open it up to 5-1.
In the 6th inning we got it going again with singles by Kathryn Hatlen, Alena Jones and Tori, doubles by Sara Taketa and Jordan and the runs were stacking up for Woodinville up 10-1 when Issaquah made a last ditch effort with a pitching change knowing one more run would mercy rule them, though Alyssa O'Farrell had other plans as she smashed a two-run walk off home run to end the game.
Next up is Newport at 5pm on Monday at Inglemoor.

Lady Falcons Knock Off Top Ranked Redmond 8-7
Another perfect evening for our final game of the regular season. We found ourselves up against KingCo leading Redmond out at Hartman Park and our girls were ready for them this time.
We started out quickly with a double by Alena Jones followed by a couple of walks by Alyssa O'Farrell and Kathryn Hatlen, Olivia Riener hits a hard ball to the right side to score Alena. Up 1-0. Redmond would come back quickly in the bottom of the second putting up three of their own.
After a scoreless second by both teams, our Lady Falcons came storming back with a couple more to tie it after back to back hits by Alyssa and Kathryn and with two outs Olivia ropes a 2 RBI double down the right field line. We put two more up in the fourth after Tori Lettus leads off with a nice single up comes Jordan Boyd who launches a two-run home run to straight away center field putting us up 5-3.
Redmond wouldn't go away as they came storming back to score 3 in the bottom of the fourth to once again take the lead at 6-5 but in the top of the fifth Nicole Shavlik walked and was hit in by Kathryn to tie it 6-6. The pressure was getting to Redmond as their infield started to make errors on hard hit balls to get another and Tori took advantage too by stroking an RBI single to put us up 8-6 in the sixth.
Redmond battled back with one in the bottom of the sixth and with a one run lead going into the bottom of the seventh Olivia went right to work getting a quick two outs before Redmond would put a runner at third on a triple. A hard line drive to Melanie Bell in right field would seal the win as she makes a nice grab over her head.
Olivia was on the mound and going right after the Redmond batters all night long punching out two and walking only one.
Woodinville will get the #2 seed behind Redmond going into the KingCo 4A tournament starting this weekend. If this game was a preview then we have some pretty great ball coming up so come out and watch!

Woodinville Goes Through Ballard 20-3
Out at Lower Woodland Park for another beautiful evening of ball against Ballard. Things were tight through 4 innings and then the flood gates opened up as the bats came alive. Multi-hit, multi-RBI game by over half of our batting order led by Tori Lettus (4 RBI's), Maggie Loyet (3 RBI's), Kathryn Hatlen (4 RBI's) and Alyssa O'Farrell (4 RBI's) and it became a run-away in the 5th inning as the lineup was turned over while scoring 10. Another 7 runs in the 6th inning and it was time to head to Dicks Drive-in for some burgers and shakes! Some more great defensive catches out in left field by Maggie as we are getting used to!
Freshman Lauryn Rhinehart was fantastic in the circle tonight punching out 13 Ballard bats cruising to a 20-3, 6-inning win for the Lady Falcons to push their record to 14-4.

Lady Falcons Fall 5-0 to Bothell on Senior Night
Senior Night... A stunning evening for the last home game for our 4 Seniors Maggie Loyet, Tori Lettus, Sara Taketa and Bailey Hicks, the Lady Falcons battled against a Bothell team that simply was ready to win for the first time in the past 10 matchups over 5 years.
We hit the ball and hit it hard but just didn't find much green. Maggie and Nicole Shavlik were the bright light of the evening with a couple of nice singles each. Nicole was able to stretch hers to second base with some crafty base running.
Afterwards all of the Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen gave the Seniors gifts and told stories. Lots of laughs and some tears. They will be sorely missed. They were part of the magical State Championship of 2012 and will take that with them and enjoy how that gets better with age.
On to Ballard today and then finishing up at Redmond on Wednesday then KingCo Playoffs!

Woodinville Holds on For 7-6 Win Against Inglemoor
Inglemoor jumped out to an early lead off the first of two home runs by Inglemoor's Izzy Riddle last night at their house before the Lady Falcons answered back with a two out, two run double by Olivia Riener in the second inning to put them up for good for the game.
Though the Lady Falcons would put up more in the third inning behind Sara Taketa's RBI single up the middle to get one and a home run by Alyssa O'Farrell in the top of the 7th to go along with 3 more hits by Nicole Shavlik and Sara to score 3 more. That put the Lady Falcons up 7-2 at the time and fought off a valiant comeback by the Vikings in the bottom of the 7th to score 4 to bring it to within a run at 7-6. Olivia was able to get the final batter to pop out to Jordan Boyd behind the plate.
Olivia was strong on the mound again going the distance and going right after each batter knowing she has the defense behind her with great stops up the middle by Tori Lettus and Taylor Rhinehart. She gave up 11 hits but struck out 3 only walking one batter.

Roosevelt Win & Parent Night - What a great time!
Always a fun night for everyone and this time Ray Lettus put on a great time for the Parents and the girls. Our Lady Falcons didn't disappoint either with a 16-1, 5 inning run-rule over Roosevelt that saw a number of our JV girls getting into the action for the Varsity game.
Katheryn Hatlen was on the mound and started out fast only giving up 3 hits and 1 run. Offensively we were led by Nicole Shavlik with two hits and three JV girls Paige Grover, Rochelle Taicz and Gina Wyner all with two hits each and of whom I believe we will see a lot of next year with the way they played both offense and defense and helped carry on the winning ways of Woodinville.
After the game we had parent/player pictures and an inaugural make-a-wish balloon release. Great time with the families remembering all that is required to play this game at a high level and still have fun doing so!

Woodinville Reedems with 12-4 Hit Fest Win vs Eastlake
Back at home vs Eastlake last night our fans were treated to some kind of offensive outburst by both teams. The difference was the defense in the end after our Lady Falcons put up 12 runs on 14 hits while Eastlake was only able to muster 4 runs on 10 hits even with an uncharacteristic 4 errors by our girls early in the game.
The top of the first was a little shaky as we gave them 3 runs on some hits and errors. It looked like we might slip back into one of those holes that are hard to hit our way out of. Though in the bottom of the first Alyssa O'Farrell hit the first of what would be two homeruns of the night for her to bring us within two after one.
Olivia Riener shut down Eastlake in the top of the second with some good pitching and starting an inning ending double play doing her best Percy Harvin over the shoulder catch then over to Alyssa !
Woodinvilles at bat in the bottom of the second started out with a smoked hit by Jordyn Boyd, a Bailey Hicks walk followed with a Maggie Loyet hit. Nicole Shavlik picks up an RBI with a nice hit as does Alena Jones so we are tied 3-3. Alyssa drives in two more RBI's with a single to left scoring Maggie and Nicole and we are out of the hole and off to the races up 5-3.
In the fourth Nicole led off with the 2nd of 3 hits for the evening and Alena moved her over with a nice sac bunt. Alyssa then came up and launched her 2nd home run of the evening to put our Lady Falcons up 7-4. Then after a hit by Katheryn Hatlen and some crafty base running, Jordan came up and smoked a line drive double over the Eastlake left fielder to make it 8-4.
Maggie and Nicole lead off the 5th with hits and Alena drives in an RBI with a nice piece of hitting to the right side for a fielders choice. Alyssa then gets her 6th RBI of the night driving in Nicole with a line drive single up the middle. Katheryn walked and Olivia gets into the action on the offensive side of things with a 2 RBI triple down the right field line. When the 5th was all said and done were were up 12-4 riding the run-away train.
In the sixth inning Olivia went right at Eastlake as they continued to spray balls all over the field. Alyssa made a diving catch at first base to snag a sure base hit and good glove work by Tori Lettus. The last Eastlake batter was sat down looking on a nice outside pitch by Olivia in the 7th.
Juanita on Thursday at 4pm at WHS.

Little League Fastpitch Clinic a HUGE success!
One of the best days of the year for sure. All the future Lady Falcons hit the field with their bats, mits, smiles and dreams to whip it up with the Varsity and JV for a day of fun and learning. In the end the Lady Falcons probably took away more than the little leaguers!
Enjoy some pictures from our elite cameraman Sir Mark Hatlen!

Lady Falcons Lose 3rd of Season to Redmond 9-2
With about 50 Little Leaguers there last night our Lady Falcons had plenty of voices of cheer and support though it was not to be as Redmond jumped out to an early 6-0 lead after two innings and never looked back. After years of breaking the hearts of Redmond fans, it was their turn last night as they simply put on a clinic of hitting and speed putting up 9 runs on our home field.
We were able to get things finally going in the fourth when Alena Jones got on base and Alyssa O'Farrell drove her in with a line drive triple. Alyssa was able to come in and score on a wild pitch to get the Lady Falcons to within 4 runs at the time.
The crowd was never down as our future Falcons were having a ton of fun with prizes between each inning and having an opportunity to do some announcing on the PA system. Lots of smiles and running the bases helped with the sting of the loss after the game.

Issaquah holds on for a 6-4 win in the rain at home
Our Lady Falcons dug a pretty deep hole through two innings to find themselves down 6-0 on some unusually sloppy play and it hadn't even started raining ... yet. After Issaquah put up 4 in the first with some help by our defense and 2 in the second on a two run home run the skies opened up and our girls dug in for a fight.
Rain started pelting down and the Lady Falcons bats got going in the third with Nicole Shavlik hitting a nice two out, two RBI double using her speed to get the Lady Falcons to within 3 at 6-3. Over the next few innings balls were being belted all over the field by Jordan Boyd and others but right at Issaquah defenders. Bats were alive...we just needed the shots to find some green grass instead of opponents mits!
Olivia Riener had settled in after the second and let her defense go to work shutting down Issaquah with crafty pitching and some great defense led by senior Tori Lettus on a line drive catch collision to end a rally, a nice double play by Taylor Rhinehart line drive catch over to Alyssa O'Farrell digging it out of the dirt to end another rally. Nicole snagged a home-run crashing into the fence and Alena Jones with an over the head runner in deep right field to stop potential other runs from scoring.
Final at bats had Maggie Loyet leading off and being hit in by Alyssa to close the gap to 6-4. But it wasn't to be as our ladies just didn't have enough time to get the balls where Issaquah wasn't. They dug deep and rallied but the hole they dug early was too much to overcome. It will be a good lesson learned heading into the meat of the season and onto KingCo Playoffs.

Woodinvlle Blanks Bothell 5-0
One of the most anticipated matchups each year pits Woodinville vs Bothell and this year we kicked it off at their house. The Lady Falcons kept the pressure on each inning with their offense and behind some great pitching by Olivia Riener going the distance and giving up only one hit, they came away with a 5-0 wallup in front of happy Falcon fans and disappointed Cougar fans.
The Lady Falcons got things going in the 2nd behind hits by Maggie Loyet and Alena Jones, who led the Lady Falcons going 3 for 4 with two singles and a double for the evening. After a fielders choice on Alyssa O'Farrell and a walk by Kathryn Hatlen, a spinner infield hit by Olivia was too much to handle for the Cougar secondbaseman and we scored two to put us up 2-0.
In the the 4th inning after back to back to back hits by Maggie, Alena and Alyssa, Kathryn sent a nice line drive single to right center for 2RBI's and put the Lady Falcons up 4-0.
Olivia stayed strong going after each batter with either a strike out, easy put out or some great defense behind her by Tori Lettus snagging a couple of hard shots and Alyssa too grabbing a few balls tagged her way.
In the end the Lady Falcons pushed another run across to make it 5-0 behind a roped double over left fielder by Alena and in the bottom of the 7th Olivia got the final outs 1-2-3.

Lady Falcons Down Garfield 11-0
The Lady Falcons made quick work of Garfield last night in a 5 inning shutout 11-0 behind solid pitching by Kathryn Hatlen. Woodinville put runs up in each inning except the 2nd with Kathryn, Olivia Riener and Katie Kelly each with two hits. Bailey Hicks got into the action in the 3rd with a bases clearing smashed double.
Lady Falcons are now 9-1 heading into a tough week next week with Bothell on Monday, Issaquah on Wednesday and Redmond (at home) on Friday.
Tuesday, April 15
Woodinville started and finished strong in 5 innings over Newport 10-0
On a beautiful night at WHS, the Lady Falcons were led by some great pitching by freshman Lauryn Rhinehart. She got a lot of help from the offense and defense to make it the girls first run-rule of the season.
The Lady Falcons bats started out hot with leadoff walks by Melanie Bell and Alena Jones. Then Alyssa OFarrell drove the first of two doubles on the evening down the left field line to get them off to a 1-0 lead. Kathryn Hatlen cleared the bases with a timely shot up the middle and the Lady Falcons were off to the races up 3-0. Sara Taketa got into the hit action as well and before the first inning was over we had batted through the order and our girls put up a 6 spot and never looked back. Kathryn and Sophomore Katie Kelly did some more damage with RBI hits in the 4th inning to push the score to 10-0.
Lauryn was solid on the mound going the distance in a 5 inning run-ruled game striking out 6 Newport batters along the way. There were some good defensive plays by Sara, Tori Lettus, Alena and Alyssa around the infield to keep Newport from getting anything going all evening.

Strong bottom of 7th Sinks Inglemoor at Home 5-4
Behind strong pitching by our two freshmen Taylor Rhinehart and Olivia Riener the Lady Falcons come from behind in their final at-bats to put up a 'W' against Inglemoor 5-4.
Lady Falcons got up early 1-0 in the first with a walk by Alyssa O'Farrell and a triple by Kathryn Hatlen. The Vikings bounced back over the next few innings with two solo homeruns pushing their lead to 4-1. The bats came alive in the 5th when Melanie Bell led off with a single and worked her way to third and Alyssa drove her in with a line drive single to right to make it 4-2. But the flood gates opened in the bottom of the 7th with Nicole Shavlik lacing a double to the wall, Melanie Bell gets on with an infield hit. Then with a 2-2 count Olivia Riener smashes a 2 run double to the fence and we are all tied at 4-4. Alyssa O'Farrell is intentionally walked and Kathryn Hatlen too. Bases loaded and Senior Maggie Loyet rips a line drive single to right field...GAME OVER! 5-4 Woodinville!

Woodinville Closes Out Skyline 8-5
Woodinville chalked up its 6th win of the season beating Skyline 8-5 behind some solid pitching by Olivia Riener, defensive plays and consistent offense up and down the lineup. Alyssa O'Farrell led the way offensively with 2 hits including a triple and plating 2 runs. Jordan Boyd stayed hot with her bat with a double and an RBI. Riener too got into the offense with 3 RBI's. Alena Jones hit it hard for a double to take part in the action.
Tuesday, April 1
Lady Falcons Fall to Eastlake 5-2
A tough night at Eastlake where our Lady Falcons lost their first KingCo game since 2010 to a spirited Eastlake team. Our girls were able to get on base often with good nights from Melanie Bell and Jordan Boyd both with 2 hits. However, Eastlake was able to hit a couple where we couldn't get to and put the game out of reach. Putting that one behind us and now focus on Skyline on Thursday April 3 at home.

Lady Falcons Score 14 in Win Over Everett
The skies parted right as things got underway for the Lady Falcons to take their 4-0 record into Everett last night.
The girls got going early with leadoff Melanie Bell beating out a perfect soft slap to get on and Alena Jones moving her over with a perfect bunt. Tori Lettus moved them to 2nd and 3rd and Kathryn Hatlen drove them in with a hard shot to take a 2-0 lead.
The 2nd inning started out with Maggie Loyet slapping a ball over the left fielder for a triple and getting hit in by Alena Jones. Maggie followed her next at bat with her speed again on a hard line drive to center that got by the center fielder but using her speed she touched them all.
Tori Lettus added a 3 run HR in the 4th inning. Nicole Shavlik and Alyssa O'Farrell got into the action as well going 3 for 4 and 3 for 3 respectively on the night. Bailey Hicks had two doubles in the 7th inning on two smoked line drive hits to help put up 6 more runs for the Lady Falcons.
Kathryn Hatlen was solid all night snapping the corners striking out two while relying on some great plays by the defense including some great snags by second basemen Alena Jones.
In the end the scoreboard read 14-2...another relentless night by the Lady Falcons.

Lady Falcons drubs Bellevue, 15-2
Bellevue didn't stand a chance on Saturday, as Lady Falcons captured a blowout 15-2 win in six innings vs Bellevue at Eastmont.
Falcons scored five runs in the sixth on a single by Sara Taketa, a passed ball, an RBI single by Rochelle Taicz, an RBI single by Alena Jones, and an RBI single by Kathryn Hatlen.
Falcons was led by a flawless day at the dish by Alena, who went 4-4 against Bellevue's pitching.
Kathryn struck out seven, paving the way for a Falcons win. Kathryn allowed two earned runs on five hits and three walks over 5 2/3 innings.
The bottom of the first saw Bellevue take an early lead, 2-0. A two-run blast by Rogers, plating started the inning off.
Falcons never surrendered the lead after the third inning, scoring four runs on two singles and a two-run triple by Sara.
Falcons tacked on another four runs in the fourth. The inning got off to a hot start when Alena singled, scoring Rochelle.

Woodinville Gets Past Monroe in Bottom of 7th in Home Opener 4-3
Home opener last night saw Woodinville take on a talented young team from Monroe who jumped out to an early lead in the first inning with a 2 run home run. The Lady Falcons jumped right back in the bottom of the second inning when Kathryn Hatlen led off with a double followed by a 2 run homerun by Alyssa O'Farrell to tie it up 2-2.
Freshmen pitchers Lauryn Rhinehart and Olivia Riener kept the Bearcats at bay keeping the game close with solid pitching backed by solid defense into the 7 inning where the score was tied 3-3. Lady Falcons put a couple of runners on base and Kathryn Hatlen comes through with a walk-off rbi single to win the game for Woodinville 4-3. Again a team win with great offense and defense.

Late Comeback By Lady Falcons Sinks Beamer
Kicking off the 2014 season on the road, the Woodinville Falcons Fastpitch went up against a 2013 4A State team in Todd Beamer. After last years close 2-1 victory in Woodinville to kick off the season, the Lady Falcons knew they were up against a solid team in Todd Beamer who lost only one of their 2013 4A State teammates.
The Lady Falcons got on the board early in the 2nd after a double by starting pitcher Kathryn Hatlen to lead off the inning. Base running substitution had then a sac-fly RBI by Freshman Lauryn Rhinehart to put the girls up 1-0. Todd Beamer came right back and tied it with a couple of doubles to make it 1-1. At that point we knew we were in for a fight. Beamer kept the pressure on with 7 more hits over the next two innings to push their lead to 4-1.
Coach Dani made a few changes both offensively and defensively putting Freshman Olivia Reiner on the mound and going to a small-ball approach. This change worked beautifully as Beamer was unable to get anything going offensively with some solid pitching and great plays especially by Senior Tori Lettus at short stop to snag a couple of sure hits.
Finally by the 6th inning the Lady Falcons got it going offensively. With two outs and a runner on 1st and 2nd, Freshman Jordyn Boyd came through with a nice RBI Single. A couple of errant throws later the Lady Falcons scored another to bring the game to a 1 run deficit at 4-3.
A 1-2-3 bottom of the 6th and the Lady Falcons went back to small ball. Alena Jones, Taylor Rhinehart and Boyd put down perfect bunts to get things going. Even the 'Bigs' in the lineup were putting it down and that kind of pressure caused another series of errors and indecision by Todd Beamer which allowed for 3 runs to score putting the Lady Falcons up 6-4. Nice pitching and plays in the bottom of the 7th to seal the win.
This was a team win from Coach through all 14 girls. It appears this year will be one that will require all girls to come to the field ready and expecting to contribute night in and night out.
