Sunday, March 5 2005 WHS Softball Highlights We're Going to State! (May 28) The Falcons rode the three-hit, 9 strikeout pitching of Lindsay Boughton and Dani Weir's game-winning RBI to defeat Juanita 1-0 in the KingCo 4A championship game. Sea-King 4A Softball: Woodinville Wins Title (Seattle Times | May 29) Undefeated Woodinville Rules Kingco (King County Journal | May 29) Dani Named "Eastside Best Prep" Junior Dani Weir has been recognized by the King County Journal for the week of May 23. She went 3-3 against Inglemoor, and drove in the winning run in the KingCo championship game against Juanita. Falcons 11, Inglemoor 2 (May 26) Erin Fisher started the scoring with a monsterous 2-run home run as the Falcons cruised past Inglemoor in the KingCo 4A tournament. Lindsay Boughton picked up her 15th win. Danielle Named "Eastside Athlete of the Week" Senior Danielle Everett has been recognized by the King County Journal for the week of May 23. She went 2-for-4 against Juanita and 3-for-3 against Eastlake. Falcons 7, Skyline 0 (May 24) The Falcons opened the KingCo 4A tournament with a win over Skyline, led by the three-hit pitching of Lindsay Boughton, Danielle Everett's 4-4 and Mollie Greenup's 3-4. Falcons 4, Eastlake 0 (May 19) The Falcons completed an undefeated season - the first ever by a WHS softball team! Lindsay Boughton picked up her 12th win...Danielle Everett went 3-3. Senior Night (May 19 vs Eastlake) The Falcons honored their five seniors in ceremonies prior to the Eastlake game. Falcons 5, Juanita 0 (May 17) The Falcons clinched the KingCo 4A Mountain Division championship with a 5-run 6th inning. Falcons 19, Roosevelt 0 (May 13) Falcon bats erupted for 22 hits on route to their 18th victory of the season. Parents Appreciation Night (May 13 vs Roosevelt) Behind every Falcon player are parents who’ve spent countless hours driving to practices, cheering at games and tending to the bumps and bruises that have come with competition. Erin Named "Best Prep" The King County Journal has named junior Erin Fisher one of the "Best Preps" for the week of May 2. Fish doubled and homered and drove in all three Falcon runs in the May 6 win over Skyline. Falcons 9, Inglemoor 1 (May 9) The Falcons erupted for 9 runs, including a 3-run blast by Erin Fisher, to notch their 16th win. Little League Night (May 11 vs Franklin) The Falcons honored the area Little Leagues in their May 11 home game versus Franklin. Falcons 3, Skyline 0 (May 6) Sarah McEnroe picked up her 6th win with a one-hit, 11 strikeout performance, while Erin Fisher knocked in all three Falcon runs with a home run and a double. Falcons 7, Ballard 0 (May 4) The Falcons exploded for six runs in the 4th inning, led by Danielle Everett (3-4) and Mollie Greenup (3-4). Lindsay Boughton collected her 9th win. Falcons 16, Garfield 1 (May 3) Dani Weir went 5-5 with 7 RBIs in the two-hit win. Find the Future Falcons Nine Falcons played together on the 2002 Leota Jr. High varsity team. Falcons 10, Lake Washington 0 (Apr. 27) Caitlin Walker's bases-clearing triple sparked a 9-run 4th inning for the Falcons. Amanda Fleischman and Erin Fisher both socked home runs; Lindsay Boughton collected her 8th win. Falcons 1, Redmond 0 (Apr. 25) Lindsay Boughton tossed a no-hitter as the Falcons subdued Redmond. Falcons 5, Bothell 0 (Apr. 21) Sarah McEnroe tossed a two-hit shutout and Dani Weir went 3-3 to power the Falcons to their 10th win. Falcons 6, Eastlake 0 (Apr. 19) Dani Weir's 3-run home run and Amanda Fleischman's 2-run double powered the Falcons to 9-0. Lindsay Boughton improved her record to 6-0. Falcons 8, Juanita 1 (Apr. 8) The Falcons remain undefeated behind the two-hit pitching of Lindsay Boughton. Danielle Everett, Erin Fisher and Dani Weir each contributed 2 RBIs. Falcons 11, Roosevelt 0 (Apr. 6) The Falcons downed Roosevelt in 6 innings behind the one-hit, 9 K pitching of Lindsay Boughton. Seattle P-I Softball Preview 4A preview features the Falcons! Falcons 13, Franklin 1 (Apr. 1) The Falcons remained undefeated, behind the 2-hit pitching of Sarah McEnroe. Mollie Greenup and Caitlin Walker each socked triples. Falcons 5, Inglemoor 1 (Mar. 30) Home runs by Dani Weir and Sarah McEnroe powered the Falcons to a season opening win over Inglemoor. Sarah Named "Best Prep" The King County Journal has named junior Sarah McEnroe as one of the Eastside's "Best Preps" for the week of Mar. 21-26. Sarah tossed two one-hit wins during the week. Congratulations! Falcons 10, Bellevue 0 (Mar. 25) The 4-0 Falcons, behind the one-hit pitching of Sarah McEnroe, beat Bellevue in six innings. Mollie Greenup went 3-5 and scored two runs, while Danielle Everett and Erin Fisher both went 2-3. Falcons 11, Newport 0 (Mar. 21) The Falcons go to 2-0 behind the one hit pitching of Sarah McEnroe and the offensive power of Danielle Everett (2 RBI), Dani Weir (2 RBI) and Amanda Fleischman (3 runs). Falcons 6, Totems 1 (Mar. 23) The Falcons moved to 3-0 on the season with a 6-1 win over Sammamish. Lindsay Boughton threw a 2-hitter, striking out 11, while Erin Fisher slammed her third home run of the season. LB Named "Player of the Week" Lindsay Boughton's no-hit, 12 strikeout masterpiece over the Tahoma Bears Mar. 18 earned her "Player of the Week" honors from both the Seattle Times and the King County Journal. Way to go, LB! The Falcon offense was powered by Dani Weir's 3-3 and home runs by Erin Fisher and Amanda Fleischman in the 4-0 win. |
