Triad Sports, a weekly newspaper in Winston-Salem, will be running a two-page color spread on our program.

The paper will be published and made for sale between July 7-11.

The spread will feature color pictures on our spring 9s, 10s, both 11s, 12s, as well as our spring three month team, and both seven month teams.

Also included will be a brief description of the history and future of our program, including a list of our alumni.

Our program will be offering a nutrition clinic this July. 

The clinic will be held by Orthopaedic Specialists of the Carolinas at 5:15-6:15 PM.

The clinic held on July 22nd.

Cost to attend is $10.00 per participant, and there is a limit of 30 participants total (parents and players are counted as participants).

Our last nutrition clinic was held in October of 2006 and forty participants attended.

The 11s lost by three to the Surry Storm to finish in a tie for fifth place at the DII Nationals in New Haven.

Here is a recap of their games: 

The 11s lost 57-42 to Boo Williams to fall into the loser's bracket in Connecticut on Wednesday.

The 11s defeated the MP - Long Island Lightning 39-32 on Tuesday Night to advance in bracket play.  

The 11s won by fourteen over the MP-Pal Diamonds in bracket play Monday Afternoon.

The 11s won 42-23 on Sunday Evening over the Potomac Valley Vogues. The win secured a first place finish in pool play for the 11s. 

The 11s moved to 2-0 in pool play at the DII Nationals in New Haven, Connecticut with a seven point win over the Connecticut Wave.

The 11s opened the DII Nationals in New Haven, Connecticut with a 38-30 win over the Mass - Premier Thunder on Saturday Morning.

Way to go 11s!!! The program is happy for, and proud of you on your run at the DII Nationals!!!

The two seven month teams will head to Portland, Oregon for the College Exposure Showcase "End of Trail" Tournament sponsored by Nike, which will be played July 6-9.

This will be our program's third trip to the "End of Trail" Event.

Practice times and sites for July 6-8:

• July 6 (Sunday): Introductory Travel Team from 1:30-3:00 at Bishop McGuinness HS.
• July 8 (Tuesday): 10s from 6:00-7:30 at Bishop McGuinness HS.

The fall season registration forms are now available below.  The early bird registration, which included a discount, ran from May 18 - June 30.

Birth dates for the fall season are:

• 9-and-under: Born on or after June 1, 1998
• 10-and-under: Born on or after June 1, 1997
• 11-and-under: Born on or after June 1, 1996
• 12-and-under: Born on or after June 1, 1995

Players born on or before June 30, 1995 have the options of playing on our three month travel team or in the fall Stealers Too!!! Program.

Charlene Curtis and Becky Tate will continue to work with the participants on their team skill development and their conditioning.

Fall practice schedule will tentatively be as follows:

• One weeknight and one weekend day per week.

Several of our teams will be competing in tournaments from one end of the United States to the other this summer!!!

Our 10-and-under Team will be competing in the DII Nationals July 12-19 in Orlando, Florida; Click Here to learn more about this event!!!

The 11s went 5-2 in New Haven, Connecticut.

Our 292 Seven Month 15s & 17s will begin their college evaluation events on July 6th by traveling to the Nike "End of the Trail" Tournament held in Portland, Oregon. Click here to learn more about the "End of the Trail" Tournament!!!

The 15s & 17s will then go to Atlanta to play in the Best of Summer Event in Atlanta, Georgia July 11-13 (17s & Introductory Team) and July 13-15 (15s) for the Showtime Nationals.  Click here for the July 13-15 Tournament News.

292 Basketball has opened program registration and renewal beginning July 1st and ending September 30th.

Players in the Classes of 2009-2014 are eligible for registration and / or renewal.

A registration packet was mailed out to all current participants on June 30th. The packet will include all updates to the program and a set of options for the 2009 Season.

If you would like to be added to the mailing list,  please email officecenter292@aol.com for a packet.

Registration forms for the Introductory Summer Travel Team for the classes of 2012, 2013, and 2014 are posted below.

Registration limit is ten players.

There will be no tryout for this team.

Both events will be held in Atlanta, Georgia and both will be Division I College Coaches Evaluation Events.

The dates of the showcases will be July 11-13 and July 25-27.

Practice schedule will be on a post below soon.

Our program will be hosting its' fourth annual coaches clinic this fall featuring three college coaches.

In conjunction with the coaching coaching, Coach Curtis will be hosting a two-day teaching session called "Teaching the Teachers" for all interested in coaching on one of our program's teams in 2009.

More information will be posted soon!!!

Nike national skills trainer Ganon Baker will be returning to the Triad Area for two sessions this fall.

The first session will be September 23-24 for 4th-7th graders, and the second session will be October 1-2 for 8th-12th graders.

Only ten spots per camp will be available for non-program members. Registration forms are posted below.
