Wild Ones STATE CHAMPS
The Wild Ones, playing some of their best soccer of the year, did not allow a goal in winning the Kohl's American Cup this past May.
I'm very proud of each of you, and look for better things this coming fall!

Wild Ones Play 1st Ever Tournament
The Wild Ones played in their 1st ever tournament over the weekend of October 25 & 26, and had a great time. Their weekend record of 1-1-1 wasn't quite enough to get them into the semi-finals, but there were several highlights for the weekend. Although we had a tough draw with our game times, the girls did the best they could. Saturday morning, we fell behind 5-0 to Jacksonville in the first half, but we battled back and won the 2nd half 4-2. Although we came out on the short end of the 7-4 final score, we did play well. Jacksonville is probably the best team we've played all season. Saturday afternoon, we hustled, played our positions, passed well, and earned a 4-1 win against the Maumelle Dragonflies. The most memorable moment was Sunday morning, and a comeback from a 4-1 deficit to Greenbriar with 2 minutes to play. We were even working on the game winner when time expired! I don't know what woke them up, but I hope we can bottle it and use it next season. Their comeback was the most amazing one I've ever seen, and is something that they should be proud of! By the way, that tie knocked Greenbriar out of the semi finals.
The progress these girls have made over this 8 week season has been spectacular, and I am extremely proud of them. Our overall record, including the tournament, was 7-2-2.
It's an honor to coach these girls. We have lots to look forward to in the Spring.
I've added some pictures from the weekend below. Hope you like them.
Thanks,
Coach Will

Wild Ones Win Lakewood Tournament
All the hard work in practice paid off for the Wild Ones in late October at the Lakewood Fallfest, where they won their first ever championship. We won our bracket with a 2-0-1 record, beat Jacksonville in the semis 2-1 and beat Harrison for the championship when Clare scored a 2nd half goal. The defense made our opponents struggle to score and the offense scored when we needed it. Great work by all and a nice end to a very successful fall season.

State Cup Jamboree Fun!
The Wild Ones played in the State Cup jamboree the weekend of May 1 & 2, and played some teams they had never seen before. Although it rained on Saturday and the fields were sloppy, we had a lot of fun and learned a lot.
All of the girls made a lot of progress this season, and it's sad that this is the end of the season. Let's pick up next fall where we left off this spring, and continue to learn!
Thanks for a great season, Wild Ones--see you soon.
