Congratulations to the High School Volleyball team for a hard earned FIRST PLACE win at the Cherryvale Invitational Volleyball Tournament last weekend.
There were ten teams participating in the tournament this year that included Cherryvale, Altoona-Midway, Neodesha, Independence, Southeast, St. Mary's Colgan, Uniontown, West Elk, and Yates Center.
It was a long day for the girls. Their day started at 6:30am departing for the tournament, playing until roughly 6:30pm and arriving back home at 9:30pm.
It was a great win for the Wichita Defenders and we want to thank Cherryvale for hosting such a nice tournament. Please congratulate every one of the High School girls for their accomplishment.
