I have found a Homewood Suites by Hilton located 10 miles from the ballpark in Florida. They are are an all suite facility with full kitchens in every suite. They offer a hot breakfast every morning and a hot evening meal Mon - Thurs which is included in the rate.
They have internet access in every suite. There are two televisions in every suite as well. They living area in each suite has a pull out sofa bed to help accommodate the larger families. I only found good reviews on-line for this facility and they all rated it highly.
The rates are as follows:
King Suite - $117.00/night
2 Dbl. Suite - $138.00/night (limited availability)
2 Bedroom/2 Bath Suite (1 king bed & 2 dbl beds with pull out in living area) - $209.00/night
They informed me that normally there is a $50.00 early out fee for leaving early, if we get knocked out early (which we will not), however they waive it for the youth sports teams. Also, they will honor these rates for three days before the tournament and three days after for anyone that wants an extended vacation.
I inquired about the "light hot evening meal". She informed me that they have a salad bar every night (Mon.-Thurs), appetizers, chips and dips, soup of the day, and a main dish like spaghetti, lasagna, pizza, or something along those lines (all inclusive). There is also free beer and wine at the evening meal.
