Player Award ~ New for 2011

Danny Offenbacker Sportsmanship Award

“It’s all about the kids” is the refrain that you heard most repeated by Danny whenever you ran into him at one of the ball fields and you would find him there often. Danny was a member of Westville Little League twelve years. He was the President when he lost his battle with cancer in the spring of 2010. He was a great man who had served in all aspects of the program. He remained loyal to Westville even when his family moved to Erial. He and his family chose to continue his commitment by returning to be a part of the community and have his children play baseball and softball in Westville. In his honor Westville Little League has chosen to present an award each year to the player who exemplifies sportsmanship: The Danny Offenbacker Sportsmanship Award.

Criteria:

Respect for the rules

Sense of fair play

Strive to win
