Tuesday, May 20 QUESTIONS & ANSWERS IF MY CHILD DECIDES TO QUIT, CAN WE GET A REFUND? All request for refunds must be made in writing and must be submitted before August 31. At that time refunds will be processed and mailed the first week of September. You will only receive a refund if you have turned in all equipment and it's accounted for. The total amount of the refund will be minus a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee. AFTER August 31st no refunds will be issued. CAN I SELECT A TEAM, SO THAT MY CHILD CAN BE WITH THEIR FRIENDS? NO, the team selection process is vital to ensure our players safety. This will be done by our Board of Directors and will be based on the athletes age and weight for football players and age and grade for cheerleaders. In isolated cases your child may be moved to another team as August 31st approaches if they will not meet the weight requirements for their team. WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE PRACTICES? All practices will be held at Deltona Middle School on Enterprise Rd in Deltona. Practices start August 1st and end the last week of October. Head Coaches of each team will determine which three days they will practice starting September. Practice time is from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE GAMES? All home games will be played at Deltona High School. Times will vary depending which team your child is on. Away games will be played in central Florida usually no more than a 30 minute drive. WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED? No, it is the responsibility of the child's guardian to get them to practice and to each game on time. WILL MY SON BE A STARTER FOR HIS TEAM? This question is for the Head Coach for his team. Only they determine the starting positions for their players based on skill level and performance at practice. Each player will play a minimum of 6 to 10 plays per game depending on the number of players on that team. Other determining factors are academics, attitude, effort, attendance and performance. IF I HAVE A CONCERN WITH THE COACHING STAFF WHO DO I TALK TO? You should talk directly to the Head Coach away from the children and other parents. Listen to their response. If you,re still not satisfied with the results you may bring the issue to our Football Director. He can then present it to the Football and Cheer Commissioners who can consult Mid Florida Pop Warner if needed. HOW MANY EMPLOYEES DOES THE WEST VOLUSIA WOLVES HAVE? NONE!! We are strictly a volunteer run organization. The entire Board of Directors, Coaches, and Assistant Coaches are parent volunteers. |
