Without the support of our WSLL fans we could not have motivated our kids to overcome an eight-run deficit to score ten runs in the last two innings. Now that’s fan support. Wow,and were you guys LOUD!
BIG thanks to the All-star's for their support up on the fence. It all about West Sac now guys…THANKS AGAIN.
Please come support our kids Saturday. |

Thank you so much to all of you who came to the TOC game last night to support the Major Division A's. Your attendance and support were very much appreciated by the players and their parents. And thanks to the 11-12 All Star players who had their rally caps on.
What a game!!! For those of you who couldn't make it, our team came back from being behind 3-11 and tied it up. The game was called due to darkness, but will continue on Saturday (6/24) at 1PM at Washington Little League. I hope you can come back.
Thanks for your support. |

Thanks to all that did make our game on Monday against a strong, very well schooled Antelope National Reds ball club. We battled through adversity against a 17-0 team in the first round.
Now we need play our “A” game against a hard hitting Rio Linda Cardinals team
Please come support the A’s on Thursday, June 22nd at Washington Little League (across from Golden State Middle School).
GO A’s!

Congrats in order for the A's.
The A's won their 1st game in the T.O.C.'s vs Antelope. It was a close game but they pulled it off 2-1. These boys/girl are exciting to watch.
Come out and support your Local 3-Peat West Sac LL Champions. The A's will be playing again at Washington on Thusday June 22, 06 @ 6 p.m.
Thanks to EVERYONE who came out to watch game 1. Seeing all the familiar faces cheering the A's on is greatly appricated by the team! |

| I just want to thank the WSLL and the coaches and parents of the Major A's for a fantastic first year in the Major Division. I can honestly say that my son had a great season and not because of anything spectacular, but because he made new friends, strengthen the friendships he had with old ones, and matured in his game and within himself, along the way. I also want to send an extra thanks to Coach Max for all of the help he gave my son internally. It made all the difference in the world to him. We will miss you next year!! And lastly, the ultimate topper of this season was being able to see my SON pitch to my GRANDSON during a baseball game. How many parents can say they've had that happen to them!? |

Dear Annoyed Neighbor:
Perhaps you would like a more accurate account of what happened yesterday:
There were young men playing in the minor field and I had simply asked them if the gates were unlocked or if they had climbed the fence. They replied that they climbed the fence. I told them that I wouldn't kick them out, but there was a reason there were locks on the gates. I just wanted to ensure that the gates were locked.
Then you started yelling at my husband and me about the League illegally locking the fields. We weren't even speaking to you, as you weren't one of the men in the field. But you felt it was necessary to come towards my husband in an aggressively physical manner and proceeded to call him names.
You know quite well that you were not asked to leave the park. We left the park due to your aggressiveness towards us.
As far as wanting to teach your son baseball, the minor farm field and the t-ball field are available for use and you are more than welcome to use.
We have a great working arrangement with the City of West Sacramento and I strongly feel that the league respects the park, fields and the entire neighborhood. |

| You are right in the fact that the WSLL should respect the neighborhood and the local residents as well, and I believe most do. However, there are incidents that will happen and when they do, I would suggest contacting a board member (listed on this website) so that the issue may be addressed. It's the only way to maintain a balanced level of respect that the league and local residents must have for each other. After all, Memorial Park has been the home to WSLL for many, many years and until the city comes up with a bigger ball park to hold the ever-growing little league - we are going to have to strive to continue to get along together. I don't know if you have history in West Sac or are a new-comer to the community, but as time passes and your son grows, chances are you will see how much the little league and the park will become an important part of your life, as it has for the many families of West Sacramento. |
