Thanksgiving Break Practice
Practice on Friday, November 28 will be at 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon.

Muscatine Swim Club Invitational, December 6, 2008
Location: Carver Pool, Muscatine High School, a 6 lane, 25 yard pool with Electronic Starting System and Touch Pads. There is limited seating for the parents in the pool area. Additional seating and holding area is located in the Cafeteria.
Address: 2705 Cedar St, Muscatine Iowa
The pool is located in the Northwest corner of the High School Complex.
Check-in with the Coaches at 7:30am (in the pool area)
Warm-ups from at 7:40-8:10am
Meet starts a 9:00am
Important notes:
* This will be a LARGE meet with Muscatine, Wilton, Burlington, CR Stoney Point, Fairfield, Fort Madison, and Keokuk attending.
* There is limited seating in the pool area, remember to bring chairs, sleeping bags to lay on, etc, for the holding area.
* Each swimmer is responsible for being at the clerk of course at the proper times. Announcements will be made prior to each event. Listen!!!
* The Muscatine Swim Club will have a limited concession stand with fruits, cookies, snack, drinks, and light lunch items.

Package pricing and payment envelopes from will be available at practice on Monday.
All swimmers will need their team suits. (Even if you do not purchase individual protraits, please have your child bring their suit for the team photo.)

Christmas Party
A team Christmas party will be held after practice on Friday December 19th. The party will begin at approximately 4:30 and will last around 15-20 minutes.
We need volunteers to bring snacks and drinks. If you can donate, please contact Peggy Creamer at jinx@wtc.net.

2009 Winter Iowa Games
The 2009 winter Iowa Games will be January 23/24 at Loras College in Dubuque.
Motel reservations for the Iowa Games-for the nights of 01/23/09 and 01/24/09-have been made at the Comfort Inn Dubuque, 4055 McDonald Dr, Dubuque, IA 52003-5249. 563-556-3006. 15 rooms have been reserved. First come, first served.
These rooms each have 2 queen size beds--cost is $79.99/night plus tax. These rooms are being held until 12/23/08. When calling to make your reservations, specify which nights you are requesting and that you are with the Wavemakers.

2009 State Meet
STATE:
Motel reservations for the State Meet have been made at the Best Western Regency Inn, 3303 South Center St, Marshalltown, IA 50158-4753. 641-752-6321. (1-800-241-2974) 15 rooms have been reserved.
These rooms each have 2 queen size beds--cost is $92.00/night plus tax.
These rooms are being held until 02/15/09. When calling to make your reservations, specify which nights you are requesting and that you are with the Wilton Wavemakers.
Again, it's first come, first serve basis.

The team Christmas Party has been rescheduled for after practice on Monday, December 22 at 4:30. If you signed up to bring a treat or refreshment, we hope you will be able to provide it on this date. Thank you for all of your help!

Family Fun Night
Mark it on your calendar…Sunday Jan. 18th we are having a family fun swim at the Wilton Pool. This is a great time that siblings/parents can swim against their swimmer and have some fun trying to beat them. Parents you can use noodles if you need too!!!! Thanks to all the parents that have volunteered to make snacks to go and drinks for after the fun.

Swim Fees/Fundraiser
If you haven’t made your final payment for the Wavemaker dues you need to take care of this no later than Jan 12th. If the dues are not taken care of your swimmer will not be able to swim in sectionals. If there are extenuating circumstances just talk with me or Dean and we can work something out.Coupons will be set out soon for the fundraiser at Hy-Vee for the week prior to the Super Bowl. We will get these out soon!!!

2009 Swim Banquet
The Awards Banquet for the 2008/09 Season will be on Sunday March 15th at the Community Bank basement. The time has yet to be determined.
If you are interested in being on the Awards Committee which will select awards (medals, trophy styles, etc.) and make food/drink arrangements, please contact Peggy. (FYI: This is typically a "potluck" style meal.)

We have added a meet at Fairfield on 1/31/09. Sign-up sheets will be available on > Friday.
