THE INVADER CREED
"On my honor, I will try to do the best for my family and my community. To help other team members at all times and to be a good sportsman"
The Waukegan Invaders is a 501c3 non-profit organization. It consists of athletes ranging 6 to 18 years of age and our team has a broad range of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. The Waukegan Invaders is a member of the Illinois Association of the USA Track and Field Organization (USATF). Our Club participates in several competitions consisting of various age groups from Pee-Wees to Young Men and Women. This is a great opportunity for our athletes to improve their technical skills through vigorous competitions leading to the State Championship meet, leading to the Regional Championship meet, and ultimately concluding at the National Championship meet.
We recruit athletes exhibiting potential, desire, and possess the drive to be the best they can be. Our athletes know how to be good sportsman and how to enjoy themselves while excelling in their areas of expertise. Our athletes have had the opportunity to set meet records, state records, and national records in the Junior Olympics.
The Invaders have produced several outstanding track and field athletes in the country. Darren Patterson, Xavier Jones, Ofelia Carmichael, Thomas Mosley, and Carolina Carmichael are among some of our elite athletes. We are the most decorated youth track club in Lake County,Illinois.
We measure our effectiveness utilizing three components: First, all of our team members must be successful students. Second, all of our team members must possess a minimum skill, positive attitude, and a supportive environment to learn his/her track and field events. The final component is improvement in their event. Our goal is to ensure our athletes reach their maximum potential by the end of the season.
