Thanks for Hosting a Country Booth!
Thanks to all the troops who hosted a country booth and made the International Festival a lot of fun. Special thanks, too, to Cadette/Senior Troop 1848, who cut all the pieces for the windsock, ran the craft table, and helped with check-in. Thanks to several girls from Troop 7362 for making the lemonade and filling the water coolers and to the girls from Troop 1834 for folding all the passports. Here's a list of the troops and country booths (click on "GS Sunday/Int'l Fair" on menu to see pictures from the event):

Barbados (Troop 7362; Gr. 7 Cadettes; Rose Miller)
China (Troop 1809; Gr. 5 Juniors; Anna Masciovecchio)
Ireland (Troop 7372; Gr. 6 Juniors; Holly Santangelo & Peg Juppe)
Italy (Troop 1812; Gr. 2 Brownies; Patty Campbell)
Poland (Troop 1814; Gr. 1 Brownies; Candace Medberry, Susan Pasciscia, Tammy Graham)
Scotland (Troop 1810; Gr. 5 Juniors; Judy Bisson)
Spain (Troop 1834; Gr. 4&5 Juniors and Gr. 7 Cadettes; Mary Ellen Smith)
Thailand (Troop 1851; Gr. 2&3 Brownies and Gr. 4 Juniors; Rebecca Schwarzentruber)
Space Cadettes (Troop 1815; Gr. 5&6 Juniors; Elizabeth Bowling & Holly Williams)
Holidays (Troop 1826; Gr. 3 Brownies; Dawn Costorf)

The displays and activities were very creative, especially the Space Cadettes, who made vests out of duct tape and designed their own "spacey" badges to go on them! The girls enjoyed creating Chinese characters at the China booth, making bookmarks in Ireland and at the Space Station, tasting gingerbread in Poland, seeing the Girl Guide uniform from Thailand, and looking through all kinds of books in other languages at the various tables. The posters representing holidays in different countries around the world were very nicely done! Everyone enjoyed getting their passports stamped at each of the countries and making the Girl Scout windsock to take home.

Leaders: please contact me if you need additional fun patches. Thanks again, everyone!
