9-10 Baseball @ Chancellors Run Park

Finished their Pool Play Rounds at 1-3.  Just missed getting into the Championship

Pool by 1 game.  Great showing for the "young guns" 

Watch out for this team next season!

10-11 Baseball @ Oak Ridge Park

The 10-11 team was clearly the "team to beat" in this double-elimination bracket.

The 10-11 team(3-0) swept through the bracket, winning 3 straight games to capture

the Championship Flag over the Hughesville team.

***The 10-11 boys now advance to the Maryland State Tournament up at Brunswick Little League, beginning July 16th. ***

Game #1

10-11 Baseball won their first game over District 4 (South Maryland LL) by a score of 4-0.  WLL (1-0) next plays on July 17 vs. District 1 (Valley Lee LL) .

Game #2 

W.L.L. (1-0) fell behind early in their 2nd game due to some unusual amount of errors.  W.L.L. fought back but came up a bit short and lost the game.  W.L.L. (1-1) next plays on July 18th vs. District 6 (Denton LL)

Game #3

W.L.L.(1-1) again fell behind early in this game also, but they stayed the course and in the top of the 6th inning pulled ahead and won the game 14-9.  W.L.L (2-1) advance to play District 8 (West Salisbury) on July 19th at 2pm.

Game #4 W.L.L. (2-1) playes District 8 (West Salisbury) at 2:00pm

LET'S GO FOR IT!!!!  We are very proud of this entire team and coaching staff!!

11-12 Baseball...@ SMYO

Game #1 

The 11-12 team defeated Calvert American at Stethem Park in their first of four "Pool Play" games.   The team played very well overall with great pitching and hitting.  

Game #2 

W.L.L. (1-1) played Northern Calvert on July 12th at 8:30pm.  WLL (1-1) got off to a rocky start with a few walks and a few hits and found themselves down 5-0 after the 1st inning.  W.L.L. settled down after that but were just unable to get any major scoring threats the rest of the game.  W.L.L. lost the game 9-1.  

Game #3 

W.L.L. (1-1) played St. Mary's National, they game was a very good one for W.L.L. as they cruised to a win.

Game #4

W.L.L. (2-1) played Ft. Washington on July 15th, at 6pm at Stethem Park.  W.L.L. crusied to an easy win on this evening.  W.L.L. (3-1) now awiats to see where they will seeded for the Semi-Final game.

Semi-Final

 W.L.L. (3-1) ended the tournament as the #3 seed and played against the #2 seed, HBA.  W.L.L. played well throught the game and the game was very close the entire game.  The game was tied 3-3 going into the 6th inning.  HBA got an unhappy call from a strange play and then proceeded to score two additional runs.  W.L.L. was unable to mount a rally and lost the game 6-3.

Junior Baseball...@ Chancelors Run Park

WLL (2-1) defeated Calvert American (0-2) on Monday at 6pm.  The team had some great hitting and some good pitching. 

W.L.L. (2-1) played SMYO on July 14th, under some beautiful weather.  W.L.L. came out with some great pitching and held SMYO in check for most of the game, giving up only a single run in the 5th inning.  W.L.L. bats came alive for some very good hitting and W.L.L. won the game 10-1.

W.L.L. (3-1) played NCLL on July 15th at 6pm.  W.L.L. got out to a fast start and never was really challenged in this game.  W.L.L. (4-1) won the game.

Championship Game

W.L.L. (4-1) played H.B.A. (3-0) on a very nice weather day.  The game was very close and tense throughout as both teams played very well.  W.L.L. was able to tie the game in the 6 inning at 3.  H.B.A. got an unhappy call at the plate on a confusing play and was able to plate 2 runs to lead 5-3 going to the bottom of the 7th inning.  W.L.L. got the bases loaded with two outs, but were unable to get anyone home as the batter struck out.

Senior Baseball...@ Stethem Park

Game #1

W.L.L. played on July 16th vs PRLL.  W.L.L. jumped out to an early lead and was able to control the game for most of the day. 

 Game #2

W.L.L. (1-0) next played NCLL and was able to score in the early innings and their pitching held the SMLL bats in check.  W.L.L. (2-0) advance to the Championship Game on July 19th.

Championship Game

W.L.L. (2-0) playes SMLL at 6pm on July 19th.  The winner advances to the MARYLAND STATE Tournament, July 23-30 at Stethem Park...

Big League Baseball...MD States

WLL (2-1) defeated District 8 by a score of 7-5 on Monday, July 11th  The game was exciting throughout and was a good win for the ball club. 

W.L.L. (2-1) advances back to the Championship Game vs District 6.  W.L.L., coming from the "loser's" side of the bracket, must defeat District 6 tonite and then again tomorrow night, in order to become back-to-back champions.   

W.L.L. played District 6 pretty tough for awhile, but were unable to get enough pitching to calm the D6 teams bats.  District 6 won the game and claimed the Flag for the 2011 season.
