Safety is Everyone's Responsibility
Our players deserve to play the game of baseball without the fear of injury caused by unsafe playing fields. It is the primary responsibility of the Managers to ensure a safe playing area for practices and games. If a Manager cannot resolve a safety issue, he/she should call the Safety Officer immediately. Parents should also help in the cause to remove safety hazards from all playing fields. This could be the field itself, the park, or the reckless manner of players warming up. Please report any safety problems to your Manager or Board Member.
Accident Notification Forms
If an injury occurs during any Little League activity (practice or game), that requires a player to be removed from a game or a visit to the doctor, the Manager must complete an Accident Notification Form.
This form is a vital information link between the Manager, the WYLLL Board, and LL Headquarters. It must be completed and turned into the Safety Officer's mailbox within 72 hours of the injury.
Each manager is given a blank form in their Manager's package and additional forms can be obtained in the back of the Snack Shack.
Any questions by the Manager or the parents of the player can be directed to the Safety Officer.
