Congratulations to following players for being selected to our 2009 All Star Tournament teams! The District 56 All Star Tournament begins June 27th. The 9-10, Little League and Senior tournament games will be played at Veterans Park. The 10-11 and Junior tournament games will be played at the Fullerton Sports Complex (on Bastenchury, just east of Harbor Blvd).

AAA City Tournament Champions!
Congratulations to the AAA Angels the 2009 City Tournament Champions! The Angels defeated the East Yorba Linda A's 6-2 last night in impressive fashion. The team continued its great defense, great pitching and explosive offense all the way through the tournament with victories over East Yorba Linda and Yorba Hills. The Angels limited the opposition to just 2 runs in 3 games. Team includes: Issac Holbrook, Daniel Cabibbo, Cole Hansen, John Kennedy, Michael Parsons, Evan Slaughenhaupt, Bobbie Conklin, Connor Guerrero, Chris Harris, Kyle Janes, Kevin Krausse and Tommy Sommer. Manager Rob Conklin; Coaches Mark Parsons, David Krausse, and Kevin Hauser; Team Mom Melissa Hansen.

A Day with our District 56 Challenger Program
On Sunday May 3rd, more than 80 West Yorba Linda Major Division players, their families and special guest Jim Abbott (MLB Angels) traveled to neighboring La Habra to spend the day supporting the great young players in District 56 Challenger baseball program. Each one of our boys was paired up with a player helping and supporting them to play the game of baseball. This was an exciting time had by all and a special thanks goes out to our Golf Tournament Committee for their hard work in setting up such a wonderful day for our families and to give our kids the opportunity and experience to give back to the community and to help those that truly need our support. Pictured is Paul Kinan presenting a $1,000 donation to the Challenger Program on behalf of WYLLL. The proceeds for this donation were raised during our annual WYLLL Golf Classic in April. Thank you everyone for participating on this great day!
Thank you one and all for everything!!! Our kids had a great day!! We look forward to next year!

Rain Rule
Schools - no practice within 48 hours of "measurable" rain. Failure to obey can cost us the use of the school. Valley View - usually 24 hours after "measurable" rain, but call the Hotline 502-2315 after 3pm.
