A medical clearance form will be required for a camper to participate. This form must be completed and signed and on-hand when the camp starts.

What items should my child bring to camp?
Campers are encouraged to bring their own equipment to camp (bat, glove, helmet, catcher's gear, etc.). The Cougar Baseball Academy at WSU can not guarantee equipment to all campers. Campers should bring sunscreen during our summer camps as we are not allowed to provide this due to medical concerns and reactions. Any medical equipment (inhalers, etc) must be provided by the camper. Campers are encouraged to wear baseball appropriate clothing. Cleats can be worn on the field turf at Bailey-Brayton. It is recommended tennis shoes be worn in our indoor facilities.

Where and when is check in?
Location for camp check-in will vary based on the camp locale. Primary check-in will occur at Bailey-Brayton field during the summer camps, and at the Indoor Practice Facility (white bubble building) during winter camps.

How do I get to camp? (Driving directions)
For our Pullman camps, facilities are located on WSU's campus off Stadium Way. Bailey-Brayton field and the Indoor Practice Facility are located across Stadium Way from Martin Stadium, home of Cougar Football. and next to Beasley Arena, home to Cougar Basketball.

What meals are provided?
Meals are only provided to campers who attend both sessions of a winter camp. In such cases, campers will be provided a lunch consisting of sandwiches, hamburgers, or pizzas. Should The Cougar Baseball Academy at WSU develop a week long overnight camp, meals will be provided accordingly.

What is a typical day like?
Campers can expect a full day of instruction and drills, with great camper/coach interaction. Camp drills will be balanced out by competitive situations, always popular at our camps.
Back
Is there a medical staff at camp?
All camps held at our Pullman campus will have medical staff on hand. WSU Athletic Medicine provides trainers for our camp sessions. It is important to indicate any existing medical issues prior to camp on the medical form so our trainers can assist you as needed.
Back
Can parents watch the camp?
Parents are highly encouraged to watch the session. By learning the material, they can assist their child in reinforcing what was taught. Thus, you are more than welcome to watch. Coaches will be happy to answer your questions after the drill session is over or after camp should some come up. Of course, your player is encouraged to ask questions at the time of the drill for immediate assistance.

What happens to left behind equipment?
It is highly recommended that you mark your equipment with a sharpie. Lost or left behind equipment is not guaranteed to be returned unless the equipment is clearly marked with a name and phone number.
