| PLEASANTVILLE SOX BASEBALL 2009!!! |
Celebrating 18 Years of Baseball Excellence!!!
We are a member of the National Semi-Pro Baseball Association
Founded in Pleasantville N.Y., the Red Sox carry on a tradition of baseball exellence, which began in the early 1900's, when local company teams would face off against each other in the name of civic pride and recreation. During our sixteen seasons of existence, the RED SOX have compiled a record of 293 wins and 125 losses, with 5 league championships, 6 division titles, and three second place finishes. We are looking foward to adding to our successful history in 2008.
The Red Sox, while keeping their traditional Pleasantville roots, will now be centered in the Bronx, as they have moved to their new home stadium - Fordham University's Coffey Field in 2006.
Our current roster includes players with experience at all levels. Our players have displayed their skills at some of the top Universities across the nation at Division I, II, and III colleges, such as Mississippi State, Arkansas, Michigan, Dartmouth, Washington U., Lewis and Clark, Southern Missouri, U. Conn, Sacred Heart, Southern Connecticut, Pace, Iona, Albany State, Mary Holmes Jr. College, Southern Colorado State, Union College, Cortlandt State, Mercy, Manhattan, Florida Southern, Rockland Community College, Westchester Community College, Binghamton State, Oneonta State, William Paterson University, C.W. Post, and Fordham University.
Several of our ballplayers have had professional experience including affiliates for the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Texas Rangers, Cinncinatti Reds, Cleveland Indians, and Houston Astros, as well as the Frontier League, IBL, Hudson Valley Rookie League, and the Independent Leagues.
GO HARD OR GO HOME!!!
