Passion Pride Tradition

In baseball, everything is accomplished as a result of your attitude. Attitude is the glue that brings the physical and mental components together. A perfect swing, an awesome glove, or a great arm does not win games... IT'S YOUR ATTITUDE THAT COUNTS!

Welcome to our team website. Whitestown Post 1113 competes each summer within the District V American Legion Baseball League in Central New York State with both a Senior Team (19-and-under) as well as a Junior Team (17-and-under). Please surf through the links listed on the left to find out more about our American Legion Baseball program. Click here to get a list of all the games scheduled for the 2015 season for both teams... or click here to see the schedule in a calendar format. Please note that the majority of this website pertains to our Senior team - for information specific to our Junior team, please click on the Junior News link in the menu on the left. Thanks for coming!   "Our boys never lose... they either win or learn!"

Boys State

Congratulations to Kevin Brennan for being selected to attend Boys State, which is sponsored by the American Legion. Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for High School students across the country in which High School Juniors are selected by local American Legion Posts to attend the program. It is a participatory program where each attendee becomes a part of the operation of his local, county, and state government. At Boys State, Kevin will be exposed to the rights and privileges, as well as the duties and the responsibilities, of a franchised citizen. The training is objective and practical with city, county and state governments operated by the students elected to the various offices. Activities include legislative sessions, court proceedings, law enforcement presentations, assemblies, bands, chorus and recreational programs. The 2015 American Legion Boys State for the New York Department will be held at SUNY Morrisville from June 26th to July 2nd. Kevin is the fifth Whitestown Post 1113 baseball player to attend Boys State in the past twelve years. Mike Beck participated in 2004, Matt Wilk in 2007, Ryan Watson in 2010, and Andrew Sharpe in 2013.

DeLutis Field - Rome Baseball Association

At the present time, the concession stands are closed until a new operator can be found. Therefore, fans are allowed to bring in coolers with refreshments into the facility. American Legion Baseball Celebrates 90th Anniversary

Community service has always been a core value of the American Legion. In 1925, this commitment was furthered to include a baseball program. Since that inception, American Legion Baseball has taught hundreds of thousands of young Americans the importance of sportsmanship, good health, and active citizenship. The program is also a promoter of equality, making teammates out of young athletes regardless of their income levels or social standings. American Legion Baseball has beeen, and continues to be, a stepping stone to manhood for millions of young men who have gone on to serve their country or community, raise families, or play the sport at the highest level. American Legion Baseball is a national institution which continues to stand behind the traditional values upon which it was founded.
