| Congrats to the Mariners! Way to go 2008 Champions. There's no better feeling then setting a goal and acheiving that goal. All the hard work that went into building this team has truely flourished. I plan on becoming one of WORKS' newest coach. I can only hope that my team (TBD) has as much success as your team has accomplished. We'll be looking out for you in the near future. Good luck always. New name, New Players, Same Goal.
It's a New Year (2008) Past achievements are left behind. As we go forward, some of your are moving up from the "Indians" (2007 World Series Champions), some are joining us from other teams and some are coming on-board to play baseball for the first time. Remember, baseball is a great deal of fun and some have achieved great success in the sport, but it requires a great deal of effort and determination. It is also a TEAM sport. We practice, we play and we succeed not as individuals but as a TEAM (All for one and one for all). Yes, some will grow at a faster pace but win or lose, WE ARE A TEAM. Pay attention to your coaches, respect other team's players and coaches, respect the umpires and officials and above all, respect the Little League Oath. ("I Trust In God, I Love My Country And Will Respect It's Laws. I Will Play Fair And Strive To Win. But Win Or Lose, I Will Always Do My Best"). Baseball demand sacrifice, dedication and hard work. Congratulations "INDIANS"
Dreams can be achieved if you set your mind to it. We got close last year (2006 Division Champs) and were determined to set all self-doubts and worries behind. We as a TEAM set our goal to go all the way, and WE DID IT. As we go forward, remember there will be times when we fail in life. DO NOT LET THESE FAILURES TAKE OVER YOUR LIFE AND REPLACE YOUR DREAMS. Stand up and point forward in life and remember this year of SUCCESS. For those who will leave us, good luck at the next level. (If you need someone to work you hard and push you along the way, don't hesitate to call).
For those who will be with us one more year (Indians) keep trying, learn from our experience this year and remember that as we proved to ourselves and others, "DREAMS CAN COME TRUE". Again, Congratulations on a great year. It was FUN (although at times you put a few more white hairs on my head).
