Congratulations are in order for the newly elected and confirmed 2010 West Norriton Little League Board of Directors.  At WNLL’s Open Meeting on September 23, these men and women volunteered to serve West Norriton’s children in hopes of continuing the legacy of excellence that WNLL has worked to establish over the past 55+ years.  Please drop them a line or give them a pat on the back when you see them around town to thank them for their volunteerism and all they do to make WNLL great for our children!

Please also keep in mind that WNLL has many needs for non-Board volunteers who can help in auxiliary capacities such as groundskeeping, concessions, photography, announcing, umpiring, etc.  Should you desire to help or know someone who’d help in a more limited role, please please contact NEW WNLL President Ron Rinker.

The best-kept secret in West Norriton is that eScrip is giving away money and, beyond your initial registration in the program, you can help without doing a thing!  PLEASE take a few minutes now to register.

The eScrip program is a fundraising program for schools and organizations that directly support the education of youth.  WNLL is eligible to receive contributions from eScrip through purchases made at Genuardi’s and other merchants.  eScrip is an excellent form of fundraising where participating business partners contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to an organization of your choice.  I am hoping that you will be willing to register and choose West Norriton Little League to benefit.

Here’s How it Works:

• You register your Genuardi’s Club card (available for FREE at any Genuardi’s), or any debit or credit cards for use in the eScrip program.
• Genuardi’s – and other participating merchants – will make contributions to WNLL based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered.
• Your purchases are tracked and available to you online, allowing you to see just how much you are earning on your child’s behalf!
• You can select and print coupons for use at Genuardi’s for savings to you!
• Grandparents, extended family and friends can also easily participate!

There are 6 easy steps to register as a supporter with eScrip.  The first step is for you to identify West Norriton Little League as the organization you would like to support. Once at the Supporter registration page, (Step #1). Select the “Group Name” radio button and type “West Norriton Little League” in the Search box.  Click the Search button.  The following will appear:

Click on “West Norriton Little League” then click "NEXT" on the following screen to follow steps 2 through 6 to complete your registration.  Then just shop as you normally would.  It’s that easy!

Have you ever been shivering at a WNLL game on a chilly April night thinking "I sure wish I had a WNLL sweatshirt right now"?  Or sitting at an away game pining for a WNLL hat or t-shirt to show your colors??  Well, there's an opportunity for WNLL to make that merchandise available for purchase if there's actually a demand for such products.  Please let the Board of Directors know whether it'd be a worthwhile project to pursue by responding to the survey below and checking anything that might draw your interest.  If you're perfectly happy on the sidelines in your own darn clothes, that's fine, too.  Just check the box next to "NOTHING".

The results are in!  73% of respondents said they'd be interested in hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts.  From there, interest was sprayed all across the board:

• 27% wanted headwear (hats, knit caps, headbands, etc.) & sport shirts;
• 20% wanted crewneck sweatshirts and branded apparel (i.e. Champion®, adidas ®, etc.);
• 13% wanted shorts/sweatpants; and, last but not least,
• 7% wanted women's T's & tank tops, WNLL accessories, outerwear and golf apparel.
