Mike Wert earns 7th victory
GENERALS IMPROVE TO 27-7 WITH 4-3 WIN OVER VILLA JULIE
ALLAIN, HANSON & MULHERN LEAD ATTACK
LEXINGTON, VA-- Juniors Austin Allain and Bryan Mulhern, and 
Senior Michael Hanson each had 2 hits to lead W&L to a 4-3 win over Villa Julie, and Junior Mike Wert earned his 7th victory with only 1 loss Wednesday afternoon at Smith Field. The Generals improved to 27-7, returning from an impressive second place finish in the ODAC tournament.
The win showed the character of this team as they 
overcame a 3 run first inning deficit. The Generals scored 1 run in the first as Mulhern added to his single season RBI record, after Allain singled, scoring Hanson who singled. W&L evened the score when Hanson's sacrifice fly scored Sophomore Zach Bausch, who doubled, and Allain's double drove in Sophomore Chris Chaplin, who singled. Wert kept the Mustangs scoreless the rest of way, spreading 5 hits over 8 innings. The Generals scored the winning run in the bottom of the 9th, when Senior Brian Gladysz scored on a misplay of Mulhern's single. Junior Dan Kagey also had a hit for W&L.The Generals return to action Friday at Smith Field at 3:00 p.m., and Saturday at 1:00 p.m. against Savannah A&D.
