We Need Your HELP

Volunteers Needed for the Following Positions

The  WJAA is growing and we need your help!  In the past four years, enrollment has increased by more than 25%, from under 400 to over 500 children a year.  Our current volunteers are stretched to the limit, and we are creating new roles to help spread the workload.

We currently run the following programs:
    Soccer        200 children / 20 teams    late August to early November
    Basketball  120 children / 15 teams    late November to late February
    Baseball     200 children / 20 teams    late March to mid June

Equipment Manager:

Inventories, orders, labels, distributes and tracks sports equipment.

Works with Sports Comissioners to identify needed equipment at the begining of each season.  Collects and inventories equipment at the end of each season. 

Works with Board and Treasurer to plan equipment purchases, based on inventory and forecasts.  Works with Purchaser to acquire new equipment. 

Field Manager:

Oversees the condition of all play fields and manages any needed work.

Works with Board and Sports Comissioners to ensure adequate and safe playing conditions on the fields at FRES, Carnival Hill and Goss Park.  Oversees the subcontracting of field mowing, fertilizing and major maintanance.  Runs the yearly 'Field Cleanup Day' each spring.
