Priscilla
    Champagne, 72
WESTBROOK -- Priscilla Champagne, 72, of Stonewall Way, Westbrook was taken to her new home after a brief illness, on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, surrounded by the people who loved her most.
She was born on Dec. 16, 1935, at her home in Westbrook, the child of Walter and Esther (Kelly) McClure. She attended Westbrook Schools. In 1955, she married the love of her life, Roland Champagne, and together they had three children, Suzanne, Denise, and Scott.
At age 16, Priscilla worked for Dana Warp Mill. She also worked for Zahares Store, Dion's Store, Sebago Moc, and UNUM for 20 years. For the past seven years, she was employed by New England Rehabilitation.
Kind, generous, strong, loving, beautiful, and patient is just a few of the words that describe the wonderful woman she was. She was loved by many and touched the lives of everyone she encountered.
Priscilla enjoyed frequent visits Foxwood's with her sister Betty and brother-in-law Chuck as well as shopping on QVC. She also loved spending summers on Sebago Lake with her family.
One of the biggest joys in her life were her grandchildren, Dylan, Danielle, Derek, Jack, Kyle, and Katelyn. They will remember her because she is the best Santa Claus in the whole world. She made holidays special for everyone. No one ever went unnoticed. She enjoyed going to their softball, baseball, basketball, and soccer games and never missed a game. Usually, they all had a game on the same night, and she would make sure that her face was shown at each and every one of them.
She was predeceased by her husband Roland; brothers Sonny and Gene, and sisters Verna, Marie, Viola, and Kathleen. She leaves behind daughters Suzanne Champagne of Westbrook, Denise Bouchard and her fiancé Mark Russell of Westbrook, and son Scott Champagne of Sebago; grandchildren Jack McCullough, Danielle and Derek Bouchard, and Dylan, Kyle and Katelyn Champagne; sisters Ada Duchesne of Westbrook, Betty and Chuck Vokey of Portland, Connie and Otis Fogg of Center Conway, N.H., and brothers Courtney McClure of Westbrook, Warren McClure and companion Dot of Rockport, N.Y. and Coy and Sharon McClure of Rockport, N.Y.
Susie, Denise and Scott would like to thank the entire medical staff in the Special Care Unit #2 at Maine Medical Center for the caring of their beloved mother and all their support shown to them during this difficult time.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Hyacinth Church. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery.
