2011 Late Registration
Late registrations for Seniors, Majors and Minors must be received no later then 2/12/2012 tryouts. We will be registering players on 2/12 from 12-1.
Late Registrations for Rookie and TBall must be received by 4/01/2012. To mail in registrations, please do the following:
1. Go to the “Handouts” tab and print and sign the 2012 Registration form http://www.eteamz.com/WBRL/handouts/#1918761
and the WBRL Parents Code of Ethics, http://www.eteamz.com/WBRL/handouts/#1736163
2. If new to the league we will need a copy of the child’s birth certificate.
3. If new to the league and interested in playing in Minors/Majors/Seniors you must tryout on 2/12/12. You may also register at the tryouts. All info for tryouts is on the Winter/Spring Tryout tab.
4. Write a check made out to WBRL in the amount required for the division you will be signing up for (see registration form).
5. Mail the registration form, the Parents code of ethics, your check made out to WBRL and a copy of the birth certificate (if necessary) to:

When does TBall register?
At the 1/18 and 1/26 registration or 2/12/12.
When does TBall play?
For approximately 8 weeks beginning in May on Saturday mornings. Details will be available in April.
My child will be 5 this year; can he/she play in Rookie?
No
What are the ages for each league?
TBall: 4-6.
Parents may decide if they want their 6 year old child to play TBall or Rookie.
Rookie: 6-8.
7’s may try out for minor with board of director approval (Jan 17th). 8’s may play in Rookie or Minor. To play in Minor they would have to try out in the fall (Sept 26th) or winter (Feb 12 12:00PM). They will also have to be drafted onto a Minor team. The leagues 8’s are split approximately in half between Rookie and Minor. If a child will be 9 for the upcoming season, they must try out to be drafted onto a Minor team.
Minor: 8-11.
Any child that will be 10 or older in the upcoming season must try out for Majors in either the fall or winterl. If a child does not tryout he/she will not be allowed to play in the upcoming season.Major: 10-12
All leagues 12’s will play in Majors unless a request is made by a parent and approved by both the Minor league director and the Player Agent.
Senior: 13-15
To be drafted onto a Senior team, a player who is not currently on a Senior team and will be 13-15 in the upcoming season must tryout and be drafted. Seniors is also the first league where not all kids are drafted.
How is a “Baseball” age determined?
The critical date is May 1. Your baseball age is the age you are on April 30th.
When are tryouts?
Tryouts will be conducted on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. in the Westport Middle School Gymnasium for all players (including Senior Division). .
When are the winter drafts?
The first week in March.
How will I be notified?
Your child’s manager will contact you.
Who needs to tryout and when are tryouts?
All players who turn 8 or older (prior to 5/01/10) and are not presently assigned to a team must tryout. All players who turn 10 or older (prior to 5/01/10) and who played in the Minors last season must tryout for the Major Division. Failure to tryout will result in the player being removed from their team's roster.
My child tried out in the fall (Sept 26th) but was not drafted to a new team. Do we need to tryout again?
No, you may if you choose but if your child was not drafted they either may be drafted in the second winter draft (February 13th) or will remain on their last year’s team/league. They do not need to tryout again.
