In addition to lending her knowledge to the WBHS varsity softball team this season, Jessica also is available to give hitting, infield and outfield lessons. Her charge is $50.00/hour. Jessica is currently playing with the 2007 National Pro Fastpitch Champions Washington Glory (see the link on our links page). Jessica was an All-Tidewater performer in her Western Branch days and an All-American at Liberty University. She was named Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Player of the Year for two consecutive seasons at Liberty. She helped guide the Liberty Lady Flames to a 36-26 record in 2007, tying for the third-most victories in program history, and helped Liberty capture a share of the Big South regular-season title with an 11-4 league record.
She was the only player in the Big South Conference to rank nationally in five different statistical categories, including seventh in slugging percentage, 14th in home runs, 15th in batting average, 16th in runs and 55th in RBI's.
Jessica's other career highlights include:
- Broke school records with home runs in career (51 midway through senior year) and single-season (21 as a junior).
- Batting .403 in 2007 with 12 homeruns in first 40 games.
- Shattered Liberty single-season mark as a junior with 74 runs scored.
- Big South Conference Player of the Year as a sophomore and again as a senior.
- Owns .411 career batting average, best in school history.
