Victory USA - Campbell 98 tryout session this Sunday, 1/10/10, from 9 am to 1 pm at Pacifica High School in Garden Grove.

Victory USA -Campbell is a series of accomplished travel ball teams based out of Pacifica HS in Garden Grove, CA. Overall, teams playing throughout the years under the Victory USA-Campbell  / USA Athletics name have won six ASA National Championships and four So Cal State Championships.   Since Mark Campbell founded the team (formerly USA Athletics) in Fall 2000, the combined list of accompishments include:

Welcome to Victory USA 98 Fastpitch Softball – 2009 
 

Victory USA 98 Campbell is a 12U team based out of Pacifica HS in Garden Grove, CA. The team is under the management and coaching leadership of Mark Campbell, Nick Digeralamo, Bill Mcgee and Brian GutierrezMark Campbell and Nick Digeralamo have coached travel softball together since 2001, winning (6) ASA National Championships, 2001(10U), 2003(12U), 2005 (14U), 2007(12U), and 2009(14U)and(10U).  Bill Mcgee has coached travel softball in the Corona Angels organizanization since 2003 coaching the 10U-16U age group. Brian Gutierrez assisted on the 2009 Victory team with Mark Campbell and Robert Young.

Victory USA 98 won the 2009 ASA 10U National Championship tournament with a record of 6 wins and no losses, scoring 31 runs, allowing 4 runs and posting 3 shutouts. 

Pitchers were Breana Gutierrez and Steffi Best, and their partners behind the plate were Dejah Mulipola and Montana Dixon.

Infielders were Jaymee Campbell, Mac Boesel, Alyssa Barrera, Montana Dixon, and Dejah Mulipola, and outfielders were Alyssa Pelegrin, Bailey Henke, Taylon Snow, and Irie Naea.

Victory USA won the 2009 ASA 14U National Championship tournament with a record of 10 wins and 1 loss, scoring 86 runs, allowing 7 runs and posting 6 shutouts. 

Pitchers were Danica Bishop, Kelsey Fredericks, Jenifer Hartman and Selene Pola, and their partners behind the plate were Sahvanna Jaquish and Brittany Moeai.

Former USA Players Sign National Letters of Intent

Jamia (Cal), Lini (Arizona), Elia (Cal), Kristen (Arizona), Coreen (BYU)

Some of the greatest impact players in USA Athletics' history complete the signing of their collegiate softball National Letters of Intent on November 17, 2007.  

Jamia and Elia were part of the 2005 14U ASA National Championship team and So Cal State Championship teams.  They also played on the 2004 14U team that finished 4th at ASA Nationals.

Kristen and Lini were three-year team members (2003-2005), also playing on the 14U ASA National Championship and So Cal State Championship teams of 2005, as well as the 2003 12U ASA National Championship team and So Cal State runner-up team. They were also members of the 2004 14U "Final Four" team at ASA Nationals.

Coreen was part of the original team from 2000 - 2002, winning the 10U ASA National Championship and So Cal State Championship in 2001, and played on the "Sweet 16" 12U ASA Nationals team of 2002.

Congratulations to each of you on your outstanding achievement !  Throughout your careers, "Leave No Doubt"

USA Athletics Finish "Top 10" As A First Year 12U Team

The team finished 9th in the 2006 ASA 12U National Tournament, posting a winning record. They had an early 4-3 loss to Synergy in pool play, who was the eventual ASA champion. To put things into perspective, the next closest finish by a younger 12s team was in 43rd place. USA is comprised exclusively of 1994 birthdates.

USA Athletics Achieve Success For Five Consecutive Years -

Farewell to a great team of champions that set the standard of play and level of excellence in softball at multiple age levels for five years.  

This team never accepted losing as being an option, and they met every major challenge head on with character and class along the way to three National Championships, two State Championships and 460 wins.

Semi Finals:  August 6, 2005
USA 7 - TNL 2 .. Katey Laban's outstanding pitching performance, throwing her second game of the day in 100+ degree heat, shows why she is a great competitor.  Christina Zambrana's two-RBI double off the center field fence in the 1st inning gave USA a 3-2 lead they would not relinquish.

Finals:  August 7, 2005
USA 6 - TNL 4  ..  Katey Laban gets the pitching start and goes the first two innings, Tory Ferreira provides outstanding long relief for 4 2/3 innings, and Katey closes the game at nearly 3:00 a.m..  The five-year team veteran, Monica Aguilar, makes the final putout on a two-bounce grounder to 3B to give USA its third National Championship after being on the field for nearly 18 consecutive hours.

USA jumped to an early 2-0 lead, and then to a commanding 6-0 lead, trading outs for runs in the 5th and 6th innings at nearly 2:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.  Kristen Arriloa and Cassandra Godoy make key defensive plays late in the game.

The National Championship was won at 2:57 a.m., Central Time, on August 7, 2005.

With this victory, the USA Athletics duplicate their accomplishment of 2001 by capturing both the ASA State and National Championship titles in the same year.

State Recap:
USA goes a perfect 6 - 0 to win its second So. Cal. State Championship, scoring 56 runs while allowing 7 runs.  USA won the championship game by defeating the Hurricanes 15 - 4.

Linzy Rother and Christina Zambrana both homered in the game.

Nationals Recap - Marietta, Georgia
USA goes 9 - 1 and wins the National Championship against the West Pines, FL. Diamond Dusters  7 - 6 in the 'what if' game. 

Melanie Stovall throws back-to-back in the semi finals and finals to carry USA to their second ASA National Championship title in three years.

For their winning run in the bottom of the 7th, Melanie Stovall got USA started with a one-out infield hit.  Monica Aguilar moved Melanie to third base with a single to right, and Melanie scored from 3rd on a play at the plate, following a one-bounce liner to the shortstop by Ariell Van Hook.

Overall, USA scores 65 runs while allowing 15 runs, with 5 shutout victories.  The quarter-final game also saw USA avenge its loss to Nemesis in the So. Cal. State Championship game with a 6-4 victory.

State Recap:
USA takes second place, losing in the Championship game 2 -1.  Overall, USA goes 4 - 1, scoring 30 runs while 2 runs, with 4 shutout victories.

USA goes undefeated in both the National Championship and So. Cal. State Championship events to become the first team to capture both ASA titles in the same year. 

Melanie Stovall pitches and wins the semi-final game against American Pastime, and on the following evening, wins the championship game against American Pastime to lead USA to its first ASA National Championship.  Dre Harrison drives in both runs for USA in their 2-1 championship game win.

With this accomplishment, the USA Athletics becomes the first team to win both the ASA State Championship and National Championship in the same year.

USA went undefeated in the ASA State Championship tournament with a perfect 4-0 record, and a key 2-0 win over American Pastime in the semi-final game.  Dre Harrison drives in one run and scores the other run in this game.
