SOCal Magic beats out Victory USA to receive its gold certification Jan 17th 2009

In a great defensive game SoCal Magic is victorious over Victory USA to win its certification at the ASA Certification tournament January 17th.

In a 5 inning 2 hit shut-out pitched by Erica Prentice, magic was able to hold off the powerful bats of Victory USA with great defense holding their 3 girls who reached bases to only second base.

Crystal started things off  by reaching on a HBP as lead-off in the first, Zuma then came up and created the distraction by faking the bunt  making the catcher have a passed ball allowing crystal to steal second easily, she was followed by Jamie in the 3 spot whose timely single to the right side scored crystal for the only run of the game.   Magic then proceeded to make every play keeping the victory team from ever stringing hits together. a fine competitor Victory USA did not go away quietly consistantly hit the ball but magic was all over the field to keep them off the bases. Hats off to a great team whom we hope we have the pleasure of playing again

Magic Girls Take 2nd place AFA Gold Nationals in 2008

SOCAL Magic Took Second place at this years AFA Gold National tournament in California.

They went 6-3 out scoring thier opponents 3-1 they lost a nail-biter for the championship game going down to  the RBI Monarchs 3-2 in the bottom of the 7th inning even though short handed since most of our Seniors are gone, and playing through some big injuries our next season team played with thier hearts and left it all out on the field. Hats off girls. We welcome our newest member Erica Prentice and her Family to the Magic family, she performed outstanding during the tournament both on the rubber and at the plate.
