Boston Breakers
Boston is one of the biggest sports cities in the world, steeped in historic performances and championship trophies. The Boston Breakers find themselves right in the mix. The longest-running professional women’s soccer team in U.S. history, the Breakers have roots dating back more than a decade.

The franchise was established in 2001, debuting in the Women’s United Soccer Association (WUSA). The Breakers competed for three seasons in WUSA before the league folded. When Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) was formed in the fall of 2007, the Breakers joined the league and began play when WPS officially launched its first season in 2009. The Breakers played three seasons in WPS (2009-2011) before the league suspended operations in 2011. In their three WPS seasons, the Breakers reached the playoffs twice.

In 2012, the Breakers played in the eight-team WPSL Elite League, which featured eight teams from the Midwest and up and down the East Coast. The Breakers won the regular season championship with an 11-3 record. In 2013, the Breakers are one of eight teams that will compete in the new professional women's soccer league.

The Breakers pride themselves on the work they do both on and off the field. When they’re not competing for a championship on the pitch, they’re out in the community, making appearances at hospitals, youth camps, clinics, and more.
