Posted in On Saturday, I went and checked out the Sin City Blackjacks pro football tryouts www.sincityjacks.com.
I talked to coaches & perspective players. One of the more interesting personalities belonged to coach Mike Howard.
Coach Mike, as he was called by all the players, is a motivator, and a friend to these guys.
I wondered what else he does. He was happy to explain that he is the head coach of the Las Vegas Cobras http://www.eteamz.com/VEGAS/. The Cobras are a developmental football team hat funnels players all over to different football teams and leagues.
The Cobras team is full of young, hungry guys that sell out on every play, which is the style that suits coach Howard perfectly. As an indoor football team, it’s exactly what you’d expect from them.
Part of the Great West football league, the Cobras are 1 of the 8 teams that range from Oklahoma to Arizona.
The Cobras start their season in 2 weeks on the 22nd. Not only will be exciting football, but it is here in Las Vegas, so there is no excuse to not get out and support these guys. When you get there, go meet Coach Mike. I guarantee you he’ll sell you on everything Cobrs
