Game # 1- (8/28/10)  Vaqueros  vs. SD Surf

Final Score:  Vaqueros - 1, Surf- 0

Our girls played a very exciting game against the San Diego Surf. We played with high energy and intensity from the start.

It was a hard fought game, but it came down to a free kick awarded to us after Maddy Ward was tripped just outside the box.  Our leading scorer from last season, Sylvia Trinh scored on a terrific strike past the Surf’s diving goal keeper.

Game # 2- (8/29/10)  Vaqueros vs. San Diego United White

Final Score:  Vaqueros - 2, SD United - 0

This was another tough opponent.  Both teams fought for every 50/50 ball. Our team played inspired and did not back down from the very physical play by the SD United girls. Since most of our players have played together both for Vaqueros and High School for many years, and with the addition of our new players, our team is working hard and communicating better this season

Scoring- Sylvia Trinh scored a tremendous goal on a free kick to get us on the board first. Later in the game, Lindsay Ferriss nailed a shot just outside the box.

All of our players, families, parents are excited about the quick start to this season. We also appreciate the hard work and support from our coaches.
