Welcome to the Home of  VSA Heat Blue 93G!

The Heat is a U16 Girls select soccer team who will be playing in Division 2 of ODSL in the Spring of 2010.

Our goals are to develop teamwork, enhance indiviual skills and encourage the love of soccer (and all sports) for our girls.  To achieve this, we focus on creating a positive environment that motivates players to excel and increases their confidence both on and off the field, but most of all to have fun.

The Heat is trained by Eddie Lima and Brazilian Touch Soccer. They are coached by USSF licensed coach John Windt.

Looking for Players

The VSA Heat Blue 93G U16 GIrls team has openings for motivated and talented players to complete our team roster for the upcoming Spring 2010 season.  This is an ideal opportunity for players looking to advance their soccer development and level of competitive play. We practice hard, we play hard and we still have lots of fun. The team is parent coached by John Windt. We were selected by our peers to have the best sportsmanship in the 2009 Spring season. We were champions in Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL) Division 2 Spring 2009 league play and champions of the 2008 Hunt Country Classic Tournament. Randy Rawls Sportsmanship Award Winners Spring 2009

What's better then winning your division and being crowned Champions? Being recognized by other coaches and referees, on how you have played the game. Yes, that right!  These young ladies have been awarded the Randy Rawls Sportsmanship Award for the Spring 2009 season. Each season the coaches in the ODSL vote for a team in their division which exhibits the best sportsmanship. In addition to the coaches votes, sportsmanship points are averaged from each referee report card.  Also, points are subtracted for yellow and red cards accumulated during the season. The prestigious award is named after Randy Rawls, one of the leagues original founders and its first President.  The award honors the winner’s sense of fair play, something for which Randy was renowned as he sought to bring soccer opportunities to the youth of Northern Virginia.
