With Grey Clouds Over head and a Wacky type field  strange Infield  bounces, the hard 90`s were able to defeat the 2008 fall ball Champions ,Galt Pirates 11-4 for the 2009 fall Ball title .  The Early Morning game results from the Semi Finals

THE 2009 VBL ALL STAR GAME WILL BE  REMEMBERED AS  ONE FOR THE ICE AGE, WITH THE RAFFLE BEING THE TOPS AT THIS YEARS ALL STAR GAME.  THE COLD WEATHER AND THE GAME NEEDED A LITTLE WARMING UP TOO .TEAM   BERRIOS BEAT TEAM  FIDENTZIS TEAM 9-6 IN A WINDY COLD  GAME .  A 6 RUN 4TH INNING THAT SEALED THE FAITH FOR  TEAM BERRIOS AS  MICHAEL SAENZ WON THE JOE GARCIA MEMORIAL MVP AWARD FOR THE 2009 MID SEASON CLASSIC AS WELL AS GALT CARDINAL PLAYER LLOYD ELLIS WINNING  THE  2009 HOME RUN DERBY EALIER IN THAT  DAY.

 The Leadershp award was presented to Beavers Manager Scottt Oliver at the 2009 All Star game. This Award was Presented to Show Appreciation for his Dedication  he has given to the league .Scott has been Manager in this league since it  First started in 1992. I Wanted to Show him This is a league That Cares about Those that have taken Part in Making it a better league. Says President Stefano Flocchini.Scott Has a Great history from 1993 and Below are some of his Great Accomplishments.  , Owner Of Payters Grill Pete Pijl ,  was on hand to present the Award for being the Main Sponsorfor those Years. as the  Payters team had a Great run of Titles during a Span of 10 Years . Currently the Team is In first place and the #1 seed.

1992  Started in the MSBL league as the Brewers

1993 Won League title

1994 Lost in Playoffs, NABA All stars defeated the Colorado Silver Bullets 8-0

1995 Undeated team /won 18B league title, Payters beats Colorado Silver Bulltes 13-4 on ESPN 2

         Plays in NABA National Tounament

1996 Won 18A League and Won NABA Sacramento Regioanl tournament

1997 Played in Sacromento League, Won NABA Sacramento Regional Tournament, Plays in NABA                   

        National Tournament

1998 Won 30+ Title

2000 Won 30+ League , Playes in NABA Natioanl Tournament

2001 Lost Title game To Manteca Reds

2006 Looses in Playoffs to Astros

2007 Won #1 seed losses in Playoffs to Dodgersin Semi`s

2008 Won #1 Seed Looses Playoffs  to Dodgers in  Semi`s

With the Boys of Summer In Florida and Arizona , Summer is Right around the corner , Many of you are either cleaning your garages, or other forms of Spring Cleaning. But While Cleaning your Old basball stuff and thinking about tossing those Old Bats or Old Uniform out,, Edgar Leon of the Stockton Dodgers and The President himself are Looking for Old Used Baseball equipement & Uniforms . I would like to Help Edgar collect old baseball equipement so that he can bring those to the kids Of Nicaragua that love the game of baseball and are in short supplies of bats balls Gloves ,,Uniforms or any baseball related stuff you have regargless if the bats are Cracked or the bats need a Nail in it. Lets help these Kids that love the game and show VBL cares for them . Call stefano at 464-7203 or Edgar leon at477-2440.

ATTENTION : Players and Managers SMOKING BAN ON HIGH SCHOOL FEILDS . IT`S THE LAW!!
After a Great opening Day,Some of the New Players, still needed a Refreshment Course on How we do Things Here in the VBL & the State of California.State Law Prohibits Anyone from Using Tobacco Products on all High school fields.That`s Just the Law. Over this Weekend I`ve had to Bring that Hard reality to a few New Players that come from other leagues as well as out of State. This league works Very Hard to Get these High School Fields and has a Very Good report with the Schools,So it would be a Real shame to have to loose Fields .This results will be to put teams on the very low end City fields.So Managers and Players, please police your Team ,Umpires are aware and will be put you On notice If Need Be .Any player/Manger In Violation will be 1st Warned and can Face Fines as Upward of 100.00 If again Told not to Smoke on HS Fields, as well as a 1 game Suspension. So please Smoke out side the School Areas and please be aware of the tobacco free signs upon entering the High School Fields. If Not!,It will cost you more than just a pack.
