Team Froto takes out All-Stars!!!

The Knights/YMCA 2009 adult flag football league is coming to an end and our three Knights teams out of a field of 9,  are top three. Froto's and All-Stars are now tied with 6-1 records and the Irrelevants are 6-0 and still need to play the All-Stars this Sat.

This past Sat. the heavily favored All-Stars, who haven't lost a flag football game for the past four years and were averaging a skyrocketing 80 points per game, lost to team Froto 21-20.  It was obvious at 39 years old, Knights head coach Bion Mills still had the QB advantage over All-Star QB and team favorite "D1" Robin Knebel.  With a heavy pass rush, wet field conditions  and playing against a much improved Defense, the All-Stars were confused and very out of their element. Mills dinked and dunked his team to victory with a huge effort from Tyler Walker.  The Froto team also had good performaces by team leader Dan "Froto" Froude, his son Froude Jr., Randy and defensive speed rusher Travis "old school" Kneble killer!!

Next week the All-Stars will play Coach Randall's team "The Irrelevants".  If "The Irrelevants" win, they will be in sole first place and win the YMCA/Knights adult flag football league. "Bragging Rights Only".  If the All-Stars win, it will be a Knights three way Tie for First Place.

 Good job Knights.......
