Tim Turpin -Founder of the United States Baseball Coaches Association
In the spring of 1990 USBCA Founder Tim Turpin had an idea to start a Semi-Pro Baseball Team. That summer the Indiana Outlaws took to the field. After 18 years the Outlaws won 9 National World Series Titles, won 704 games (93 World Series Games) and have sent over 50 players onto professional baseball becoming one of the top 10 Amateur Baseball Teams in the country. In 2004 Turpin incorporated under Diamond Yards Inc and started the National American Semi-Pro Baseball Association and Diamond Yards Sports & Promotions, Diamond Yards Brick Fundraisers. Each year has seen growth in each divison of DYI however something was missing. After doing some research and brainstorming the USBCA was born September 27th, 2006. After playing, coaching and watching amateur baseball for the last 17 years it was time to put a good idea into action. The long term goals of the USBCA is to make it the biggest and best coaching associaiton in the USA. With emphasis on educating the younger coaches in the USA we feel we can develop greater players, teams and yes Baseball Coaches thru the teamwork of all of our Regional & Urban Chapter Directors.
The U.S.B.C.A. is an Associaition of dedicated Baseball Coaches who love the game of BASEBALL. In the next few months we will be developing a nation wide network of great baseball people. The fee to join the USBCA is only $20 per year (annually). More to come shortley.
