******* NOTE: In the ROSTER section, a good deal of information COULD be provided. See our Roster and click on Cam V's name. There you will see as much as I (Doug V) am prepared to post. What is shown here may be more personal information than others feel comfortable with.
As a parent:
- Do you want this information posted?
- Do you want a picture shown?
- If yes to these questions, should this page be open for anyone (good for relatives, friends) to view, or should it be password protected?
Please send an email to dougvac@shaw.ca stating your preference. Personal information will not be listed if a parent states his/her objection.

EMSA Photography Policy
From: Salvi Cammarata [mailto:Salvi@esaf.ca]

Subject: NEW Cameras/Picture Taking Policy
Attention All:Effective immediately we will allow photographers or videographers, WITHOUT PRIOR CONSENT from facilities, to take pictures/video in the facilities as long as:
- All video/pictures must be taken from the second floor or behind the dasher board glass on the main floor or,
In other words NO photographers/videographers are allowed to take pictures or video along the player/coaches hallway, the player benches or the referee’s bench
For professional media
: - TV (Global, CTV/CFRN, CBC, TSN, Rogers, Gol TV, ESPN, etc.). If it appears to be a commercial type camera with a recognized media logo, they are allowed to video along the players/coaches hallway. Other area access will be allowed with prior approval through the appropriate leagues (e.g. EDSA - Mini World Cup).
- newspaper and radio (Journal, The Edmonton Sun, The Examiner, The National, CBC Radio, Team 1260, etc.) simply ask for ID or media credentials. They are allowed to take pictures along the players/coaches hallway. Other area access will be allowed with prior approval through the appropriate leagues (e.g. EDSA - Mini World Cup).
We would appreciate a written GR to report media coverage. At the very least the building staff should ask when the video or photos will be respectively aired or printed. Further, if media do arrive at the control desk without a pass please allow them and their crew in without payment. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Mr. Salvatore

Impact Website --> (NOTE TO 2007 TEAM: This was sent to last years parents!)
The Impact website has recently undergone some changes. Initially it was a completely "open" website - equally accessible to anybody via the Internet. It now has specific access privileges assigned to each section.
Generally, news about Impact games, practises, scores, locations, etc are "open" and accessible to all. Information that is more personal in nature (full names, phone numbers, email addresses, close-up photos, etc) has been placed in "restricted" access sections.
The restricted sections can only be accessed after logging into the website with a USERNAME and PASSWORD. These unique USERNAMES and PASSWORDS will be distributed to each of the team families. When you login the first time, you must (unfortunately) provide a fair bit of demographic information to complete your registration. If you read the eteamz privacy policy, you will see that this information will NOT be used for 3rd party marketing purposes. Uncheck the boxes about mailouts, and eteamz will not use it to send you spam either.
If you enter the player (or any other underage person) as the USERNAME owner, eteamz will ask to send an email to the parent. Once that email is replied to, the registration completes. If the username owner is an adult, the registration completes once you go through their information collection screens.
Upon your first login with the USERNAME and PASSWORD I supply you, you will then have the opportunity to change your password to something easier to remember. Also, the site stores a cookie on your computer. If you don't delete cookies, you may not have to keep logging in. (maybe?) Your computer will remember and convey that to the site. If you do delete cookies - that's OK. Just login again next time.
Specifically, the following sections have been restricted to "invited" members and fans (i.e. the team families):
- ROSTER (because of photos and any personal information supplied for the boy's profiles.)
- HANDOUTS (because the player roster, parent names, phone numbers, etc are stored here.)
- GUESTBOOK (because this is an eteamz mandatory restricted section, and to limit discussion submissions to those associated with the team).
To reiterate, non-personal information (schedules, calendars, locations, etc) are available on the website to anyone. Sections containing personal information (ROSTER, HANDOUTS, GUESTBOOK) can only be accessed after logging in with a valid username and password. If you have a trusted friend or relative (e.g. your son's grandparents), I have no problem with you sharing your username and password to permit that person to sign our GUESTBOOK and write a message. I trust that the other parents won't mind cautious sharing such of login access either.
If anybody has questions about any of the information presented herein, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will try to clarify and share that information with all families. Also, I hope that this makes the team website more interactive, encouraging each of you to become more involved with the team. Towards that end, I again encourage all of you to please send me photos or write-ups that we may include on the website.
Thanks.
Doug Vaculchik
