Welcome to the website of the Tsunami Thunder White.  The Tsunami Thunder is a U13 boys travel division team from the Stafford Area Soccer Association’s (SASA). The Team Mission is to provide each player the opportunity to participate in a highly competitive environment of spirited soccer and to instill in the youth of our community a respect for authority and themselves by aspiring to the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty and hard work.
 

The Tsunami Thunder exists to provide a high intensity training and playing environment for highly motivated and skilled players who wish to develop soccer and real life skills. The ultimate goal of the team's coaching staff is to advance the player's skills to enable them to compete at the highest levels of soccer. TheTsunami Thunder is coached by Sean McLaurin, Joe Abbatiello, Eric Hansen, and Chauncey Cowell, all of whom have considerable playing and coaching experience. Ultimately, the coaching staff strives to prepare players for the highly competitive elite ranks of Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. travel soccer. The coaches do this by emphasizing the necessity of physical and psychological preparation.

The Thunder coaching staff emphasizes commitment, hard work, discipline, personal responsibility both on and off the pitch and respect for team mates, opponents, coaches, and referees. The coaches train the Thunder players to play attacking soccer, thrive within high pressure situations, play unselfishly, and above all, demonstrate good sportsmanship. This is done by stressing the technical, tactical, and psychological aspects of the game of soccer.  

Thunder training sessions are open to all who wish to participate. We often have siblings of our players as well as other classic and recreational players participate in our practices. Training sessions, for the most part are held at Pratt Park in southern Stafford County, Virginia. The Tsunami Thunder White evolved from the SASA Classic League U12 Boys division teams Tsunami Surf and Stafford United. Fall 2008 marks our first season in the Old Dominion Soccer League. We are looking forward to the challenges of our new endeavor.
