May 17 we will be working with the Tesoro Refinery to clean up Pacheco Slough a tidal creek which run on refinery property. most of the work will be done from boats with prizes being awarded for various catagories of refuse. Troop 370 hereby known as the Gutter Runners arrived at the clean up in high spirits. after an early lunch and safety instructions the Gutter Runners were bummed to find out they were assigned to clean up along waterbird way and not get to go out in the boats. It didn't take long for spirits to pick-up after we started finding some pretty exotic trash along the road. we found everything from an old mattress to a easy chair, TV, suitcase, planters, tires, even a wedding licens. following the cleanup the various teams created an artistic display from the items they Gutter Runners but together a fully furnished Dorm room Vignette. Taking 2nd place in the judging. Thanks to Tesoro and all those who participated in this fun and much needed service project.
